We visited this hostel and were extremely dissatisfied with the service/ownership.The owner was quite arrogant. He even dimmed the lights in the common room during dinner, which made the atmosphere uncomfortable.On the other hand, the base of the hostel was good – well maintained and comfortable. The rooms were clean and welcoming, which made us feel comfortable. Nevertheless, the lack of friendliness and poor service left a negative impression on us. We would not recommend this hostel unless the owner changes the way he treats guests.

We booked a weekend for the three of us in Alps Hostel in Pfronten. Unfortunately a friend got sick and couldn't come with us anymore.The super nice team accommodated us in all matters, canceled the overnight stay, rebooked the room, canceled breakfast, offered alternatives... and from the beginning, and was available via WhatsApp and responded immediately..We had breakfast once classic and once veggie, with coffee and muesli.There was a small cloth bag with us so we could also take some provisions with us.Everything important was there; the price/performance ratio was right, the location was perfect and the atmosphere was warm and familiar. Rooms were simple and clean.What we also really liked were the collaborations with organic farmers, local farmers and restaurants and the sustainable spirit of the house.On Saturday evening there was a private, small, cool rock concert in the barn right next to the house.There is so much to see, visit, discover and experience in the beautiful area that we were out and about a lot and when we got back to the room we were able to relax and unwind very well.I don't understand the few "critics" of some recessions, or In my experience, I can't take it seriously at all... exaggerated, immature and idiotic... it's not my first... nor my last stay here... and... it's clear that we're happy to recommend you at any time with the best of our knowledge and belief continue ..all the best and thank you!!!

We are not happy with the owner. His behavior is quite arrogant and inhospitable. Our visit was for a friend's birthday and we decided to meet there to celebrate and explore the area, but the owner did everything he could to spoil our mood and even threatened us with eviction , in which case we were very quiet I can't recommend it for more than one night I will never go back there

Great concept! When we arrived there was music playing and lights on! You got into the hostel with a code and there was a board with the keys on the first floor. Breakfast was ready in a box in the fridge. Fresh, very good rolls were brought! You were also allowed to make coffee. The rooms are cozy. If we repeat this trip we will definitely book there again. The boss was on his well-deserved vacation and responded to inquiries via WhatsApp immediately! Simply great, keep it up!

We arrived on a rainy night and of course there was no parking space near the house. These were all marked with location signs. In advance it was said that there were enough parking spaces. So we had to look for one nearby where there was no parking. Access with the code worked perfectly. But then came the rooms...! We actually wanted to go again, but we were all very tired and had no other option at midnight. The room doors were totally dirty and “finished”. Our children didn't want to lie down in the beds because individual panels were hanging down from the ceilings everywhere. They were afraid that they might fall off. The bathroom, the shower, the sink. Everything was old and covered in black mold. The house is very old and nothing has been done here for ages. The children said that old war films could be made here. We left the next morning, even though we had booked longer. Nobody noticed because nobody was there. Cash is only made carelessly here! Value for money is an absolute no go! Unfortunately I didn't take any photos because we just wanted to get away quickly. Unfortunately you have to give one star here. But it is definitely a 0 star accommodation. We didn't notice anything positive, except that there was warm running water from the sink.

The hostel is in a great and quiet location and offers included parking spaces right in front of the door. The concept of the hostel is great, everything is based on trust and independence. The prices for the self-serve refrigerators are good. The rooms are clean. The service via WhatsApp for checking in and tips for the area was really successful. It's a bit noisy in the rooms, but you can live with that. There are also earplugs if necessary. For example, we lacked instructions on where to leave used dishes and cutlery. There is a star deduction for the unnecessary music from the lounge on the ground floor, which plays 24/7. We have stayed in many accommodations all over the world and without being squeamish here - you can hear the bass from the speakers in the room at night, even with earplugs. It just drones unpleasantly and constantly at almost the same frequency. Maybe it only affects room number 5 because the room is directly above the room? Here the host should simply ensure that this music is switched off after 10 p.m. or that the bass is simply removed! There will definitely be more people complaining about the noise than about a quiet lounge after 10 p.m.... Just let it sink in, dear host. Otherwise clear recommendation. Thank you for the hospitality🏰😊

Great location, close to attractions.One towel for each foot, body and face. It says there is a refrigerator.Upon arrival, we see that the mini-freezer is for 8 rooms, common. Then the food we brought disappeared, or some guests took it or threw it awaythe room and the date of departure were written on the slip. Yes, the rating is 3, but since it is close to the attractions, I gave it a +2 rating.

Very nice hostel. We had the suite in the attic and were very impressed by the large rooms and the pretty, although typically simple, furnishings for a hostel. The room also has a wonderful view of the mountains!The lounge on the ground floor is also very nicely decorated and the breakfast boxes were delicious and plentiful. Very quiet and familiar, with everyone from young hikers to families to older couples. Not to be compared with some turbulent big city hostels. My grandparents also felt extremely comfortable.Check-in and communication are easy and digital. The staff is also available on site at specific times and is very nice.Location very good for trips to the surrounding mountains and lakes.We were very satisfied and can only recommend it :)

Our room was very clean, spacious and nicely decorated.The lounges were very attractive and comfortably furnished.The breakfast box was great! Good rolls, delicious ham and good cheese/veg spread. A very good quality breakfast!What I liked best was that everything was thought out in a super sustainable way. There is no plastic packaging, no disposable stuff, even the toilet paper is sensibly chosen!!! I think it's really great!!!Pfronten-Kappel (the town) is perfect as a starting point for all sorts of activities such as hiking, cycling, etc.We were very satisfied and can highly recommend the hostel!

A place in transformation, the hostel in the old Gasthof Engel. Equipment is spartan, here and there it creaks and sticks, but everything is clean. Original supply concept: High-quality drinks and small dishes/snacks are available self-service in the lounge area at the entrance (payment only possible with credit card/Paypal!), breakfast in a box upon pre-order the evening before until 6 p.m.Location pleasantly quiet, hardly any traffic through the town thanks to the bypass road. Sufficient free parking spaces.Unfortunately, WiFi is not really secure, the password is visible to everyone outside the entrance. Check-out time is already 10 a.m.

Wasn't that great.To get into the bathroom you have to climb halfway over the toilet and you can't stand fully upright in the shower.Everything is old and doesn't seem as well maintained.Price/performance wasn't ok for me.

Our stay at the AlpsHostel was perfect for us and our needs. Initially I was a bit disappointed that the associated pub was on summer break, but the idea of converting the pub into a lounge/dining/games room was simply perfect for us (with children). Table football, table tennis in front of the house, books and games at your disposal, it was really good. The breakfast boxes were more than plentiful and the contents were really tasty. A small point of criticism: hanging options for towels would have been nice in our bathroom, but that's just a minor blemish. The staff who provided us with breakfast in the morning and everything else we needed or needed to know were always friendly and extremely nice. We really liked the relaxed and hospitable atmosphere.
