Most definitely the worst hotel in Lörrach. We have tried pretty much all others in Lörrach and nothing is as run-down, dirty and badly kept.Let’s not even talk about service. There is none. Reception staff was not helpful or friendly at all.- reception closed at check out time- public hair in the shower- mildew everywhereBlind was broken. We asked for another room but were told that it was not possible. When asked for our money back we were also told that was not possible.The worst part is that the staff does not care about the customers.The location and the room have huge potential - but the staff and owners obviously do not care.The only reason we stayed here is because all other hotels in town were fully booked.Stay away from this place!!!

I recently missed my train and had to find somewhere to stay for the night. The room costs between 70-110 euros depending on the type of room (single, double) and depending on the day of the week. Overall, it is absolutely not a feel-good hotel. As other people have mentioned it needs quite a bit of renovation. In my case the main light wasn't on, the bulb was defective. The curtain wasn't 100% complete, the blinds in the bathroom don't close properly, and the bathtub is right in front of the window with these blinds. So someone from outside could theoretically look in. Toilet wasn't completely clean. Soap dispenser was squeezed and filled with water. That's not possible at that price. In the bathroom in front of the window there is a spot on the ceiling with mold. And I think there was smoking in the room too. On the positive side, at least the bed was clean. Furniture is old and very worn. So I wouldn't recommend it and under normal circumstances I wouldn't book it at all, especially not at the price offered.

Extremely rude, unclean & poor service. The hotel was locked that night, so I had to find new accommodation and couldn't get my luggage. The owner was uncooperative in rectifying the hotel's mistake. I absolutely advise against booking at this hotel.

The hotel is in a very bad condition and needs renovation. The room was dirty and many things were broken or missing.For 100 euros this is a disgrace & borders on fraud!!!

It's not easy to find the hotel! Be sure to discuss prior information on how to find the underground car park by car! The room was not clean and not worthy of a hotel room, see photos! A renovation would be beneficial! Bathroom and toilet quite ok. The dirty towels were replaced immediately! The terrace hasn't been maintained in ages! We got information the day before after a breakfast, also diabetic compliant! Unfortunately, despite assurances, it was not implemented! But let's say something positive: the mattresses are awesome! The staff is very friendly and the food in the Ristorante is excellent.

Hotel and restaurant in one. Therefore, there is no proper reception and the restaurant staff checks in hotel guests. The employee at check-in was friendly.A company invoice is not issued on site, which I see as a clear shortcoming. This is supposed to be sent via email from “accounting” afterwards. Despite asking several times, I was rudely and brazenly brushed off several times on the phone and have not received an invoice to this day. You are put off and put off.Breakfast is only possible from 8:00 a.m. which is why I didn't use it.The rooms are very old and the joints in the shower were all moldy (visible layer of mold). Hair in the sink and other unsightly details that only confirm the unclean condition.In my experience, a stay is not recommended.

Unfortunately not recommended...Rooms are not really clean, and you could expect more friendliness from the staff at the reception (if there is one)!!Oh yes: it's best to arrive by bike, as the garage is rather unsuitable for cars.^^

A bit noisy due to bus traffic. No WiFi in rooms (technical problems). Co-workers friendly. The room is ok but the bathroom needs a basic cleaning soon because mold and traces of mold growth are visible in several places. Parking spaces are not just a garage with a lift but are for relatively short cars and are subject to a charge. Right in the pedestrian zone so everything in the city center is easily accessible. Overall a mixed feeling.

It's sad that we experience homophobia these days... and that's exactly what we experienced at the Matiotto Hotel!We were passing through and wanted to stay overnight in Lörrach. Since the Mariotto Hotel had good reviews, we decided to book a room here - according to the internet there was still a room available. Since we were nearby, we went to the reception the old-fashioned way. Once there, my partner asked for a room. “You’re lucky, we still have a room!” My partner then asked if it was a double room with a large bed and the receptionist replied in the affirmative. My partner put his hand on mine and smiled at me. The employee saw this and gave us a disgusted look…From that moment on the employee became less friendly, only looked at his handwritten list and no longer at us and then said “Sorry, we are fully booked. Last minute booking!”When we thought that the room was still free, we were asked to leave with a succinct gesture of the hand...Well then, welcome to the homophobic country!

Staff completely understaffed. Reception staff unfriendly. System didn't work...We don't need to talk about the rooms and the room card is broken.I can only advise against the parking garage... just paid an extra €15 without notice.This is something you should communicate when you ask and not act like it's free until the waiter comes and collects the money.Weird hotel/restaurant.Thank you and never again.

When I was in Lörrach for work, this hotel was booked for me. After a 7 hour journey I was pretty exhausted and just wanted to go to bed. When I checked in I was allowed to wait ten minutes - because in my opinion the staff was understaffed. I was helped to park the car in the garage because the garage I own is very narrow. That was nice! But when I got to the room I was shocked, there was mold on the ceiling in the bathroom, the bed looked unkempt, an almost empty toilet roll and a broken light in the bathroom. As a vegetarian, I was served a sausage platter and after several requests I was given jam (the cheap version from JA) for €15, a real bargain. When I checked back into the hotel in the evening, I wanted to ask if they could open the garage for me so that I could go straight to my room (after a 14-hour day at work). The answer I heard was - no, that's not possible! I asked why doesn't this work? The employee then replied: BECAUSE IT IS!And since the hotel is in the middle of the city, there was a party until 2:30 a.m. with loud music. So no - definitely no. I can't recommend this hotel at all. See pictures

At first they couldn't find our booking and the organization was chaotic. Half of the lights in the bathroom don't work. The toilet seat almost falls off the bowl. Generally very dingy. The bartender was very rude! Luckily only for one night.Not recommended!!!

I cannot recommend the hotel.The reception is anything but customer-oriented, the parking garage elevator is broken... (any TÜV would shut the thing down)I then wanted to cancel the room and was treated rudely... I and my companion were threatened with the police... that's not possible.We then decided on another hotel.
