We had a six-person room with a group of friends. The room with the bunk beds was modern and nicely furnished. The location was good. The breakfast wasn't very big but OK. At least there was a sandwich with ham (ham!), a sandwich with egg (egg!). However, there was a beautiful Lamborghini in the middle of the dining area. And a bicycle also hung from the ceiling.Cons: the door to the bathroom was made of frosted glass and you always felt like you were being watched. Everything was also very noisy. Rather impractical in a 6-person room.

The room we booked was advertised as wheelchair accessible, but we couldn't expect accessibility. We arrived a day earlier. Only here were we informed about the increased room price for the additional overnight stay. Despite the small amount, we found this approach to be indelicate. I used the elevator, which barely fit my wheelchair, there was no space for an accompanying person, in our case this was not a problem. We had already been informed about the dimensions before booking. The room became cramped. The friendly employee offered to remove the existing table. I said no and was willing to compromise; I got along. It was the next morning and access to the buffet was blocked for me. My wife pushed tables and chairs aside so I could access the counter. The space within the buffet proved to be sporty for me as a user of an electric wheelchair. On day two, Monday morning, one employee particularly stood out because of her lack of interest. Visible to all guests in the reception area, putting her feet up and playing on her cell phone, she bluntly showed her work ethic. A possible path was blocked by a serving cart. I push him around the corner. Things get tight around the breakfast buffet. The highly qualified staff don't care that I can hardly get to some dishes, I take it sportily. While I'm putting together my morning meal, the kitchen help mentioned above is already pushing the service cart back to its original position. My wife asks her, over a distance of about 5 meters, at an appropriate volume and in her friendly manner, saying: "No, please don't, my husband can't get through with his wheelchair anymore."Whereupon she heard an outrageous grumble from the person she was addressing: “You could also say this in another way.” How friendly should she be?Up to this point we tried to see the whole thing in a humorous way and didn't want to let the behavior of one of our employees spoil our holiday mood. The game with the service car was repeated every day and our annoyance increased despite all our good intentions. The path was only clear on the day of our early departure. What prompted us to break off early was the conversation I had with the managing director on day seven of our arrival. During the calm and objective conversation, it emerged that the specialist, who had already been mentioned several times, had said that my wife had shouted at her, which neither I nor other guests noticed. This should be said very clearly: at 65 years old, my wife has never made a fool of or yelled at anyone because it is not her style, the word "please" is part of her normal vocabulary, and a friendly tone is standard.Unfortunately, this accusation remained unchanged until the end of the conversation. This was the point that led us to the decision during the day to end our stay early. A real apology was not made by management, but by the young man on night duty. A clear and honest regret from the front row could have prevented the premature termination and thus this article. We were really impressed by the friendliness and spontaneous helpfulness of the young man on night duty and the room service staff. To be fair, I sent the original article to the hotel management in advance to give them the opportunity to comment. The answer was in the same style as negative internet reviews of the hostel are all too often answered; there is a lack of respect and appreciation. From a psychological perspective, the apology expressed there is not worth the keyboard strokes. A similar incident is described 1 year earlier. (Original article on the Internet)

Comfortable hotel/hostel in Singen. I had a double bedroom. The bed was great. It would have been good to have a few simple items in the room, like a kettle or hair dryer.
