Ratings have to be viewed separately: service, competence and friendliness of the staff are excellent, cleanliness throughout the hotel, and the breakfast buffet is sensational. Perfect advice in the hotel bar. Due to the location, there are few free parking spaces, but there is a fee-based but fair hotel parking offer.However, some rooms are not suitable as a 2-bed room (e.g. 303), there is no refrigerator and the price for the breakfast buffet is simply 1/3 too high (unless you have 3 hours to enjoy the enormous offer)

The hotel is located in a quiet residential area, not far from the shopping street and the train station in Singen. From the outside the hotel looks a bit old, but inside everything is well maintained and renovated. The individual floors are beautifully themed. The staff is very friendly and accommodating! My room was clean and nicely decorated. There was a large TV and a tablet from which you could get a lot more information. However, operating the device was a little unintuitive.However, the room had some drawbacks. The air conditioning periodically made loud gurgling noises even though it was turned off. This was particularly annoying at night or early in the morning. The room was also very noisy, which is why I clearly heard the bathroom noises, louder conversations, arrivals and departures and tidying up from the neighboring rooms, from the cleaning staff and from rooms above. My room door was difficult to close, which certainly made some annoying noise for my neighbors. The room also couldn't be darkened properly, which is why I was woken up very early by the light coming in, in addition to the noise.The open shower in the bathroom is nice, but a bit awkwardly built so that the water runs into the entire bathroom area.All in all, it's actually a nice atmosphere, but unfortunately not relaxing due to the lack of soundproofing and the lack of blackout options.

The staff was always extremely nice and accommodating, that really needs to be emphasized. The breakfast was OK. The rooms were modern, but carpeted.In other respects, the Best Western was unfortunately very disappointing.As some others have already described here, the air conditioning (unfortunately even when deactivated) regularly makes noises comparable to those of a broken coffee machine. At least it was said at reception that technicians had already been commissioned to deal with this problem.The telephone in my room was also broken and the reception was not available by telephone 24 hours a day, as you would expect in a 4-star hotel. So it happened that I was allowed to knock on the door of the next room early in the morning at two o'clock, even in my pajamas, because my roommate had decided that now was the right time to watch TV at full volume. And my problem was really a banal one... What happens if it's an emergency and the reception isn't reachable?I also had the misfortune of ending up in a room that was a complete disaster in terms of floor plan and location. To the right of my room was a storage closet where housekeeping regularly rumbled in the morning as soon as the rooms were cleaned.Half a meter away from my pillow, on the other side of the extremely noisy wall, was the bathroom of the room neighbor. The straw that broke the camel's back on my last night was when I was lying in bed in the evening and had to listen loudly and clearly to the neighbor going to the toilet!All in all, unfortunately not a single restful night during my stay at the hotel. Unfortunately, I don't recommend it.

First of all: The employees were friendly and always tried hard. The hotel corresponds to the stated 3 star category (there were a few small things missing: no 24 hour service, no table waste containers, as the rooms were not cleaned daily, there was a lack of toilet paper, etc.). What really bothered us, however, was the air conditioning, which has a very loud fan and hums every 15 minutes (the noise sounds like making coffee with a capsule machine). Since we complained, we were given another room with "only" the loud fan. You could turn off the air conditioning, but it would turn on again after a certain amount of time. No relaxation! Absolute no-go! We'd love not to come back.

Negative:Disappointing. I usually like to book Best Western hotels, but unfortunately I was disappointed this time. Room specially booked with air conditioning, actually nice. However, if the air conditioning is defective, there are constant loud noises. Every employee we asked had a different reason why this is so, very interesting. The problem has probably existed for a long time, I see from another review (from 4 weeks ago). The days were supposed to be relaxing, but there were sleepless nights thanks to the air conditioning.I never had carpet in my hotel room, I find it very unhygienic and also shaggy.Positive:Room size and bathroom completely sufficient. The location of the hotel is great, large shopping center and the train station nearby about 10 minutes on foot. The hotel is located on a side street in a residential area, but is still quiet.There are parking spaces on the street (if free) you can use them free of charge at certain times, please note the signs.------------------------------------------------------ ------------We didn't book breakfast, we wanted to be independent of the time.There are parking spaces at the hotel, which cost extra.Singen charges a tourist tax per day for adults, with this you can e.g. B. Travel by train/busThe employees were friendly, but no help with the annoying air conditioning, there was also small compensation.So for us, once is enough!Price performance was definitely not met due to the problems!

Unfortunately, it is becoming more and more fashionable to have to specifically confirm the service of fresh towels and bed making.I was not informed about this in any way. Added to this is the hassle with the centrally controlled air conditioning, which had to be activated first.You can't call it service and the room price doesn't change.I would cautiously describe this as “making a fuss”.

We stayed at the Hotel Lamm, a 4 star hotel, from July 4th to July 7th, 2024. Our room wasn't even cleaned or fresh bed linen and towels in 3 days. I work in management in the catering industry myself... but something like that in a 4 star hotel is no go ..it costs enough per night....Only breakfast buffet and breakfast team super friendly..helpfulness..Conclusion will not book a room here anymore....only give 1 star
