The first impression is not misleading. In front of the hotel unclean and full garbage containers. No one from the hotel staff present. We already had keys. …

I lived in the Hotel Olympia for five weeks. |My impression: Very clean and very solid! The rooms are not very big but not too small either. There is a mini fridge under the desk and the WiFi works well. …

After my last bad review, I wanted to give the hotel a chance, but it was a mistake. The roller shutter was broken, the shower too and the windows were so dirty that it seemed like there was fog outside. …

For a trade fair, we went to this hotel. The hotel itself is unpretentious but quietly located near Frechen, a nice little town with lots of small restaurants. …

This hotel is a nightmare. Decor like from the 70s. Disrespectful service. Out of 5 nights in a room with breakfast paid, I only got 3 nights because there was no one to prepare it on the remaining days. Besides, the breakfast itself leaves much to be desired. My friend had to move to another hotel, because after our arrival it turned out that there were no two rooms for us (despite the reservation), there was only one double room, but we had separate beds. Very funny!!!

It's a shame the hotel had a lot of charm before with the old lady at the reception. Now it is no longer reasonable. …

Rooms are not acceptable! Towels more than marginal (1 small and 1 large towel for 2 people)! Breakfast very spartan! On the day of departure, breakfast was ordered for 7 a.m. - what was there? - NOTHING !!! …

Actually I don't want to give any stars...We had booked a room with a double bed and an extra bed for our 12 year old son in this "accommodation" long in advance (April), 2 nights for 340 euros - Gamescom...On the way there at around 4 p.m. we got a call asking when we would arrive (reception should be open from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m.) the gentleman at the other end would like to take a break now???!!! But ok, no problem for us. We'll be there shortly before 8 p.m....We enter the "reception" right next to the refrigerated counter for breakfast, with plates of cheese and leftover butter in it!!! Thank God we'll be shown the "double room" first.Which looks like this: The double room is actually a single room with a single bed, a sofa bed with a board on it and then the mattress on top of it, and an extra bed!!!The fact that the entire facility dates back to the 1970s remains an open question. We initially refuse and ask about cancellation...Yes, you have to do that with booking and that will definitely cost you money...After we had spoken to Olympia on the phone with booking and booking, the boss came and asked what that was about, and was serious about the question!!! He just wanted to be nice and saw that we still have a 12 year old child, hence the extra bed. What if the Lord hadn't been so kind? We would have booked (and paid for) 3 beds (1 double bed and an extra bed) and only got 2 and only 1 of them was a real one and a sofa bed with a wooden board under the mattress for 3 people. After a long period of back and forth, the booking was canceled free of charge thanks to Booking. We know that everything is more expensive at such events (Gamescom), but I expect what I have booked as a service!

A good hotel, at moderate prices in a top location in the west of Cologne. Rooms are large enough, clean and well maintained. The staff is courteous, nice and friendly. A very good alternative to the crowded hotel at the trade fair in Cologne.
