We were looking for a place just to sleep at night. We didn't need breakfast or anything. Just arrive, sleep and then go out next morning. So for our case it was perfect.Location is good for Monheim but not if you are thinking Dusseldorf.

First of all:First I'll start with the positive points and work my way to my criticism. I would also like to give a warning at the end.We were looking for accommodation for our stay in the Düsseldorf area and Haus Sonnenschein initially seemed promising. Unfortunately, we assumed that breakfast was included in the price, but we would have had to pay for the individual breakfast menus every morning, so we didn't test this. The house is generally located close to the Rhine, so walks were very appealing. Monheim's city center can also be reached quickly (on foot, by car and usually also by bus). We didn't meet anyone when we checked in, we just noticed a camera that wasn't signposted. That's why we suspected we were being watched. We only saw our contact person when we left. Our room (9) had a carpeted floor, where some cables were lying around, but since they were stabilized with Velcro to make them non-slip, this didn't bother us. The free-standing refrigerator was also nice, but it didn't cool enough to freeze ice cream, for example. The closet was equipped with a hanger and there was also a full-length mirror on the wall. There was a table with a chair next to the three individual beds, which we found to be very inconvenient. The bathroom also seemed very appealing at first, but there are no windows that open and the stuck hairdryer was not used in our case.We didn't even use a hairdryer, straightener or anything similar during our entire stay. I myself had the mishap that my eyeshadow palette fell down and left a black stain. The hotel has accused us of permanently damaging the carpet to the point where they claim we burned the area. In fact, when checking out we forgot to mention this stain due to our time constraints. Now I would warn you about the service, although you will hardly ever meet the staff anyway.

Externally not very appealing, room very simple but clean, coat hooks completely missing, no wardrobe or similar. Breakfast cannot be rated.

Per+ free parking for families (the fact that you have to pay for it at all is sad, given the parking spaces)+reasonably large room+close to the Rhine and the GeysirCons- Forgotten items will NOT be returned, although costs will be covered (more on this below)- really dirty, stains on the carpet, things get adventurous behind the bed- Light in the bathroom broken-No cleaning of the rooms during the time we were there- Reception only sparsely staffed- our child wanted to eat chocolate cornflakes... not a single piece came out of the dispenser (no wonder everything was packed tightly and came out in one piece) (who knows how long the stuff had been in there)-If you like it adventurous, you should book room number 1, there is a whole crack in the ceiling all around and the fear that the ceiling could fall down at any time.-But the worst thing was that the kettle had an open cable break in front of the socket...When you think it couldn't be sadder... unfortunately I forgot my nursing pillow there. I called and asked them to send it to me... with the answer: "We won't send it back, we don't have a box for it and it would be too expensive anyway." I also said I would pay for it, but still. I should pick it up. I was pregnant at the time and was happy when I was home again. I don't have to drive 800 km back to get the nursing pillow. But she could ask me not to write a bad review.Spending the night there once was too much.

The room was very clean. The furnishings are simple but functional. The location is good, you can walk to the town hall center in just a few minutes. Checking in was very easy using a key box, and an employee was present when checking out. Payment was possible via Paypal. Unfortunately the bed was a bit too soft for me, but that is of course a matter of taste.

3 star hotel? Laughable. No contact person on site. No room cleaning in 4 days, but a rude call from the operator. Every boys' hostel is better and more modernly equipped. Never again
