I've never stayed in a hostel before and was so concerned after reading the reviews but I must say there was no need, the room was nice and clean with welcome drinks. Beds very comfortable....No bed bugs as previous reviews stated. …

The fact that there was no reception and that you enter the hostel through the back door of a kebab/pizza shop should have been warning enough for me. …

The hostel can be booked via the Internet and managed via cell phone contact and a nice gentleman from the kebab grill on the ground floor provides a delivery service. …

The first night I had to look for a new room because I was told by phone that it would be too expensive if someone let me check in now. I had called the hotel 5 times (!) …

Here's what I was promised on Booking.com "The hostel itself has practically furnished rooms with wooden floors, which still have everything you need, including a wardrobe and a sink. …

We were on the Rheinsteig, and as a hiker you would like to stay in a simple and clean hotel in the evening - the gz is quite ok for that. The rooms were clean and you could sleep very well. …

Check in goes to the kebab shop downstairs in the house. You can then enter the rooms through the storage room using a number code (which everyone in your room knows from downstairs). The TV doesn't work here and half of the sockets don't work. In addition, half of it is a ruin and it constantly smells like kebab everywhere, which is a disgrace for the money. It wouldn't even have been worth half that. I think that the kebab guests also use the hostel toilet.

Check-in is at a snack bar. There is no staff on site. The room smelled of chip fat and smoke. Overall it wasn't very clean. No WiFi key available. There is only one curtain, so darkening is impossible. At night you could hear the snack bar owners cleaning and shouting (until around 1am). The next morning we discovered that there was no hot water in the communal shower either. We booked for 2 days but moved after one night. It would be more pleasant in hell and there would certainly be warm water! NEVER AGAIN!!!The town of Königswinter seemed to have been beautiful at one time, but now seems very run down.

Terrible! We had bed bugs in the room. We then contacted the landlord, who reacted very negatively and was not willing to refund us the money. In addition, the room was very dirty. We didn't spend the night there and left the room immediately.
