Tropical Bali Hotel

Very cute room and very nice staff. The breakfast was also completely sufficient for the price. A small negative point for the location, you can't get anywhere on foot and it's a bit far from the center. By car about 10-15 minutes

We got room#4 on the second floor with a pool view. The room is big and clean but it is hot. The first afternoon it was very hot and we thought it will get better when the sun goes down. It turned out that our first night was very hot. The bed is hard. There is a day bed with soft mattress but we can't sleep on it because of the mosquito at night.The next morning we ALREADY PACKED our luggages before we asked to move to different room because of the heat. The female manager went to check the room and said the A/C hasn't got any problem but it cannot handle the heat. She told us that she will get us a different room when another guest check out.When we return to a hotel in the afternoon, we were told that the room is fully booked. They already fixed that A/C. We were put back to the same room. We waited in the room and found that It was still hot!!!!The A/C unit is small and is installed on the left side of the room. It cannot handle the heat and cool the whole room even with a help of a fan on the ceiling.We went back to a reception and asked a staff to call the manager to talk to her. She came and called the owner. The owner wasn't at a hotel and didn't witness the situation. We only got a new room because we spoke out!!After a long conversation, they finally moved us to the new room #2, the manager came to us and said that she agreed that room#4 is hot because of its exposure to the sun. It is just that no other guests might not complain before. She even said she will try to suggest the owner if she can add more plant or some curtain to prevent the heat. We even suggested her to roll the bamboo curtain down during the day.However, the new room looks smaller. It doesn't has a day bed. It is on the ground floor and feels damp. You can clearly hear every foot step from the room above due to a wooden floor structure. The room above check in around midnight and walked around their room and went to bathroom at 2am. We woke up and heard everything.There is no complimentary drinking water in the room. It cost 5,000 IRD per bottle. They have a big drinking water dispensor on the ground floor. You can fill it up if you have your own bottle. But we aren't sure about the cleanliness.The hotel is located about 4km from the main Sanur town. It is quite far from everything unless you just want to stay in. The nearest beach is nice but not clean.The place is the 4th hotel toward the end of our trip but we had received the poorest service. We are deeply disappointed!!We had spent less amount of money in other hotels and got way better services. From our experience from this stay, we can strongly say that we will never ever step out foot back to this place.Additional information: we asked manager to leave the A/C on the whole time while we were away. A male staff confirmed that they left it on and asked us to check. Still the room was hot.If there was no problem with the A/C, why did the manager has to call a maintanace at 12pm after she already went to check it when we reported the problem in the morning?Why did she promise to give us a new room when she knew that the occupancy is full?We made it clear in the morning that if we can't get a new room, we would change a hotel. When you couldn't give us a new room as promised, why didn't you communicate with us prior to our return?The problem is the wooden floor not the check in time of other guest!From our observation, there were several negative reviews and complaints but the owner didn't acknowledge it. On the other hand, she seems to defend everything and attack customers back with her negative words with discrimination.( please see her CONCLUSION) It shows such a narrow minded person despite her claim of 11 years experience in hospitality.If you can't take feedback, may be you should consider different business!!

We stayed for 2 weeks and we loved it especially the tropical surroundings. It has only 10 Rooms which are spacious and clean. The staff are lovely and we really enjoyed the breakfasts especially the Indonesian one. …

Relaxing place to unwind after a long flight. Beautiful swimming pool, a quiet massage area and having tried them they are incredible.Room consistent with the photos, good breakfast.Very kind and helpful staff.A little extra if you leave early for an excursion or to take the boat as in our case they will prepare breakfast for you in advance so you can have lunch before leaving. (over 3 weeks of travel they are the only ones to have offered us this option when we leave before breakfast opening time).

Fabulous quiet little hotel in the Northern area of Sanur, more traditional and peaceful. Great pool surrounded by beautiful lush gardens, spacious comfortable rooms, great aircon, good value for money, staff extremely helpful! |Massage and room service available!

Tip top service.. the place is very cosy and nice. It is tucked away from the busy street yet a 10 minutes walk to the beach. But you should come here for their service and inexpensive rooms. Swimming pool is open 24 horus

Cute little hotel 10 minutes walk from the sea (black sand beach...without tourists!)

It takes about 10 minutes by car from the center of Sanur. It's a narrow alley about 70 meters deep inside the hotel, so only one car can fit in.A place run by pure and friendly staff and a pleasant foreign owner.Because it is a first-floor accommodation, it feels a bit damp and old. It would be much better if it was on the second floor. The bed is not very comfortable. Breakfast is like a full meal.I don't think it's bad to get this level of service and accommodation quality for this price. It's nice that it's quiet.I have no intention of returning.
