Disappointing Experience at This HotelWe stayed at this hotel for two nights in early August, and unfortunately, our experience was far from pleasant.Upon booking in June, we received a confirmation email but no information regarding check-in or check-out times. When we arrived, the check-in process felt unwelcoming, and we weren't informed about the check-out time. To our surprise, we found some unclean clothes left in our room, which we reported to the staff without complaint, understanding that mistakes can happen. However, on the day of check-out, around 10:40 AM, we were unexpectedly confronted by the same staff member, who aggressively knocked on our door and criticized us for not checking out on time. We believed the check-out time was 11:00 AM and assured him we would leave shortly. Around ten minutes later, he returned, smashing the door even harder. My wife opened the door to explain that we were nearly finished packing, but the staff member became hostile. In a distressing turn of events, he used inappropriate language (which cannot even pass the Google Map content verification) towards her, which was shocking and unacceptable. Despite our efforts to remain calm, we felt threatened by his aggressive demeanor. My wife even had to call for help at the door of the hotel as the situation escalated. This experience was deeply upsetting and overshadowed our vacation. Having traveled to over 30 countries, we have never encountered such behavior before.I hope that sharing this review will help prevent future guests from facing similar issues at this hotel.

I do not like to write reviews due to bad experiences, but this place was completely unnecessary and unacceptable. I accidentally booked my stay on the wrong date. I canceled it well within the cancellation window and booked the appropriate date for my stay. I apologize!, that was my fault! I had some car issues that I was able to handle pretty quickly (these things unfortunately happen), but was about an hour past the check in deadline. When I showed up I was lectured and yelled at by some male 5’10”, white, and probably in his 40’s, about how he works 13hrs a day and that customer never respect him, how we should read the contract, about we were wasting his time, etc etc. I asked nicely, if I should leave? The gentleman (lol), kept lecturing and yelling, so I asked again, if he preferred that I left? Again he wanted to lecture and yell, I told the person that I had enough and that I would prefer to take my business elsewhere. I never even made it past the lobby! I would not recommend in anyway and don’t believe anyone else should. I hope someone isn’t attacked by this man some day.

We traveled in family there, the room was nice but the bedroom wasn't separated from the second bed. The bathroom was really nice, also the balcony was awesome with good view over the mountains. …

This is a competitively priced hotel in a generally expensive region of Germany. The room was spacious and had a balcony, an eating area and a kitchenette. The shower was reasonably powerful too. …

This was one of the best hotels on our three week trip to Germany/Austria. The husband/wife team that ran this hotel were so friendly and helpful. We enjoyed the apartment style room, comfortable bed and wonderful breakfast.  …

Good value. Rooms are a bit dated and mattress was very hard! Pillow were not very good. But the people running it were very nice! Son didn't make it to breakfast and the lady of the house told me just to take his breakfast! Also were able to checkin early without paying extra! .

I loved this place: quiet location, good breakfast, spacious room with a table for 6 - not sure why, but I liked it, small kitchen in the entrance hall, balcony, comfortable bed and simple toiletries. I wish I had stayed longer. Wifi is OK in room 3. You can use the pool, sauna etc. paying a fee.

We stayed in a nice apartment that had a kitchenette and eating area. There is also ample parking. The breakfast was expansive and good. There was a strange smell when we first arrived but it did not bother us in our room.

Surrounded by small farms and a few meters of a nice bavarian typical food restaurant, Happy Kienberg was a good surprise for us. …
