My husband and I had booked a double bed room at Hotel Anno in March 2024 initially for five days but we added another day as we really liked the hotel. The room and bathroom was renovated and very clean. Bed was very comfortable. Although the hotel is located downtown Sonthofen, the nights were very quiet. Breakfast buffet in the restaurant was generous and very good. We arrived on Monday which is the day of the week, the hotel/restaurant is closed. No problem, the hotel owner has a night safe where the hotel key can be accessed. By accident, he was around when we arrived a bit early and he let us in the room before check-in time. Staff and owner are extremely friendly and polite. I loved that I could walk to the shops, other restaurants, bars and bakeries and railway station and did not need a rent car. Two thumbs up! We will book a room there again when we are in my childhood hometown. Greetings to Sonthofen and Salve and his staff at Hotel Anno from Silicon Valley, California.

I spent a night here after a 6-day hike through the Allgau, hoping for a good meal and a good night’s rest before my flight the next day.I got the good meal but the good night was ruined by the smoke coming through my window, which was above the entrance of the restaurant where people smoked; and by the loud music / emcee / guests from below. It was a trade off between being inside a hot room vs inhaling in smoke and being blasted by the noise.On a positive note, the staff was friendly; the room was clean, basic, and had just enough space; and within a short walking distance to the train station.I would return for the food, but would need to be convinced for the room given the noise and smoke.

Located right in the center of the city, this Bavarian-style hotel impresses with bright and spacious rooms, cleanliness and friendliness of the staff. Breakfast is simple but tasty. The little menu variety would be welcome. I warmly recommend this place.

We stopped in for the night and were pleasantly surprised with the "down home" friendly staff. The rooms are clean and spacious, the decor is funky cute and they have vending machines in the hotel stair well that has beers for two euros. What a deal!

The locals call it " Anno ". The building used to be the Railway Station till they built a new one further away. Very popular are the quizzes. Has a large outside eating area as well as in. Haven't eaten there for a while. The place to go with friends for a drink. Have been there many times.

This hotel is well situated for the town . I had two evening meals here which were lovely. A good breakfast selection .Staff very friendly & helpful. Car parking free on site . I would highly recommend this hotel .
