The reviews of this place are not understandable. This is a local Wirtshaus with good food and with an excellent choice of beer, including speciality beers made in house. During the Summer months it employs international exchange students to wait at the tables. I do recommend this place if you are around Bolsterlang, contrary to most other nonsensical reviews of the place.

Hotel service is very helpful, attentive and cordial. Sometimes it does not look like this but it is at its core.||The premise was renovated some time ago, is very clean and well temperated. …

Very nice view of the mountains. Daily walk of the cows to pasture pass right in front of the hotel. Owners are very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was great, beer was cold. What more could you ask for?||JB Illinois USA

I only evaluate the economy here:The owner or whatever he calls himself - I wouldn't describe him as an innkeeper or host. Because a real innkeeper wouldn't treat his guests like that!It was about a situation with our dog. When I made a spontaneous reservation, I personally ordered a table for two people PLUS a dog. That wasn't a problem and we arrived there exactly at 7 p.m. - as reserved. After we had ordered all the drinks and food (from a hired waiter) and received them (except the main course), the above-mentioned owner came into the dining room.Note: We positioned ourselves at the table as best as possible so that we didn't disturb any guests or waiters. The table that was assigned to us was right at the entrance to the restaurant. He initially asked in a normal tone whether our dog could lie a little differently because he was supposedly blocking the way. Which wasn't true. We replied that unfortunately we couldn't position the dog differently and asked if we could go to another table and pointed to one that had just become free. He said straight away that that wouldn't work because more guests would be coming soon.He asked in a rude tone if we could put the dog under the table. We said that unfortunately our dog won't do that. The innkeeper started to get louder and tried to teach us how things work with a dog, since he had one himself. When my partner then said that we would simply cancel the meal and leave, he suddenly began to intervene and suddenly offered the other table. He loudly asked how he should pack the food...?! But we refused and said again that we would leave now.We then got up and left the room to pay. Here the cook, landlady or whoever said that it could of course be packed up.So we had the food packed and paid the full 58.40 euros. We have never experienced such a tone in an economy. One thing I can say: we won't come here anymore.

We went to the inn for dinner last year in September and nowBoth times we were really happy with the dishes we chose. The marketing for the different types of beer is attractive. However, we have one negative point to note: Why do you actually respond to the reviews that are addressed to you? We noticed this when we read the previous reviews.

Unfortunately we can't judge the quality of the food because we didn't get that far. We had the nerve to ask for a table shortly after 4. This made the innkeeper so angry that we preferred to go to another location. We have never been treated so unkindly. Note that the restaurant officially opens at 4 p.m. If you take into account the previous reviews (here too, the landlord has always had negative comments), you can only advise against a visit.

We were very disappointed. We arrived 23 minutes later than reserved because we got lost. We apologized. The owner told us very rudely that he first had to see if he still had room for us. This really irritated us because there were still five tables available outside and we had reserved there too. He looked hesitantly at his table planner and then assigned us a table. We were served by two people who were passing through and who spoke German poorly but were nevertheless friendly. Information about this was included in the appendix to the menu.We ordered a schnitzel with cheese spaetzle and the cheese spaetzle variation and a side salad. The food was very tasty, but unfortunately the portions were far too small. We therefore found the price-performance ratio not appropriate. We then drove to Alpe Dornach and satisfied our hunger there with delicious Kaiserschmarrn for dessert. We won't come again. The unfriendliness of the host is unacceptable and the empty tables at the beginning remained empty!

We had a cozy and very comfortable apartment. Everything was new and clean, it seemed recently renovated, especially the bathroom. The operators are friendly and helpful. The surrounding area is beautiful and offers many sights and hikes. The breakfast buffet was rich and tasty with regional products. The food in the restaurant was also delicious. For us, the portions were completely sufficient but - and here is the only slight drawback - I could imagine that they are too small for some people's very hungry appetite, unless you plan a starter and dessert in advance. The farm is dog-friendly, which was crucial for us.The operators work with young people from all over the world who live and work here on a seasonal or monthly basis as part of Work and Travel. I think that's great. Why do I care if German is always perfect? There were no problems with communication and every single one of the young employees was friendly in their work and had a smile on their face.We felt very comfortable here.
