Stayed at this property for five nights in a business trip for a conference.Room: compact with a fridge, bed, bathroom, and small desk. First room I was assigned had non-functional thermostat (something that happened to several colleagues). Second room had a working thermostat but non-working TV. The TV issue was it was unplugged but that was hard to fix because the unit is fixed to the wall very tightly and therefore plugging it back in was a pain. The shower stall was also pretty small and only had body wash (which was empty the first time I used it) and shampoo.Desk staff are nice. The laundry was disappointing because I got a dress shirt cleaned and it was obviously not pressed.Location was good for the conference. About a 15 minute walk to the heart of the city. Some close by restruant but they are limited. A good walk from public transport. For personal travel I would hot choose this hotel after my experience.

I stayed in the hotel for business for about 10 days. It was a great location and had all the amenities. Wholesome breakfast with good variety, especially for longer stays. The rooms were comfortable, and the bathroom was great: adequate space and a great hairdryer. Staff was always friendly and helpful. I would definitely recommend it for any business traveler.

The only good thing about this hotel is it's proximity to Hamburg Messe exhibition centre. It's clearly a budget hotel that charges premium prices when they have enough demand.I paid €280 per night without breakfast and was given a twin room as no doubles were available.Beds are directly out of a youth hostel. Very small with rubbish pillows.Everything else about the room is basic and functional... what you would expect for €100 / night max.Breakfast was decent with plenty of choice but the cooked dishes were cold when I ate at 8.45amOn my second night I needed a quick meal but the food service had already closed at 8.45pm despite the menu saying it was available until 9.30pm.Overall a disappointing experience and I won't go back as long as I find another option available.

Overall stay was okay, but I expected a bit more given the price. The room was smaller than expected, although quite clean. There were not a lot of space to put our luggages and clothes. This would probably not be a problem for a 1 or 2 nights stay, but for a 5 nights business stay with a lot of luggages it was complicated. We found a bug in the room at some point ( NOT a bedbug or a roach, but still not great in a hotel room ). I also had the displeasure to get my credit card debited for the entire of my stay without being notified of anything beforehand which putted me in trouble with my bank. No excuses or gestures from their part. The parking was really tight, tho not the most expensive of the area. The room service insisted on entering our room one morning despite us yelling "please no".The location however is pretty okay, and we slept in peace despite the noisy road: the rooms are nicely soundproof. The breakfast was also good quality, not crowded, and the staff pleasant and helpful.

DO NOT STAY HERE! My flight was unexpectedly delayed so I arrived much later to the hotel than expected. On arrival I was told they had resold my entire 3 night stay. Staff were very unhelpful. Particularly Liezl Sager who was unsympathetic and extremely rude. She was dishonest and offered contradictory explanations. She told me it was my fault I didn’t have a room because I didn’t call them… whilst on an aircraft. They refused to help in any way. But they kept the money already paid and sent me away to find another hotel at my own cost. I was already late for work due to the delay. Shaken by the loss of my accommodation, I asked if there was somewhere to possibly leave my luggage and get changed. The front staff simply laughed at me. Absolutely disgusting service.

The room was extremely hot. For 2 days it reached 76 degrees in the room, and the staff “could not’ make any adjustments to the thermostat. The staff told us that the tech was sick, and that they didn’t have a back-up tech to help. …

I had an excellent stay at the Mercure Hotel in Hamburg-Mitte. The location is perfect, making it easy to explore the city. The staff were exceptional—smooth and friendly check-in and check-out, and the room service was impeccable. The bar was a great place to unwind, offering a good selection of drinks. The Wi-Fi was reliable, and the air conditioning worked perfectly, ensuring a comfortable stay. Overall, everything was just right, and I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Hamburg.

This is a very basic hotel and certainly should not be charging a premium. It’s basically a 2* hotel which you should only use if you will spend the minimum time possible in your room, not need any other facilities during your stay and just need to walk across to the convention centre. I got charged EUR 684.00 for 2 nights and could have stayed in a design hotel with a bed twice the size (with a proper duvet, not two single duvets like they offer), a gym and offers good food all day and be in a nicer location. This hotel does offer an over priced EUR 24 breakfast should you be desperate. I have sofa cushions bigger than the tiny pillows they had and they put two single duvets on the bed instead of one duvet that covers the bed fully. My bed sheet had dried blood on it which I discovered when I getting into bed but was too tired to go and try and get a replacement. The cleaner did see the blood the next day and changed the bed sheet before I returned to my room. Bar person was lovely. They just charged me more than double what the place is worth per night which I blame the hotel owner and Mercure brand team for allowing to happen. I should have stayed in the design hotel in town that was the same price and enjoyed the longer walk to the convention centre each day.

I stayed here for a conference, as the location is easily walkable from the Messe conference halls to the hotel without requiring a taxi. It's approximately a €35 taxi ride from the airport to this location. The hotel's proximity to Schlump station is very helpful for tourists because you can get almost anywhere in the city in a matter of 10 minutes or so.The front desk staff here are extremely helpful and friendly, and the morning breakfast offering is extensive with great presentation. The common areas of the hotel are comfortable, plus luggage storage was available during an early arrival. The rooms have nice mattresses with a large shower space. Temperature controls are avaliable in the room, and the heating/cooling equipment does not make excessive noise. Highly recommended!

My stay at this hotel was ruined by the behavior of a female staff member at the front desk on the last day. She claimed that I hadn’t paid for breakfast, but I had indeed paid in cash on that day. I asked her to verify this, but she kept questioning me about who I paid. When I told her that I paid a male staff member, she insisted that no man had ever worked there and asked me to describe him, making me feel like a suspect. I reiterated that I had paid and asked her to check. She made a phone call and continued to press me, saying no such man worked there. I was a bit frustrated because I knew I had done nothing wrong and it was their mistake not to process my payment properly. Only after I raised my voice did she say she understood and told me to go.While it was wrong of the male staff member not to process my payment correctly, he had been very kind to me. The female staff member, on the other hand, continuously glared at me, treated me with anger, and considered me a liar and a thief. Additionally, it seems the hotel staff at the front desk are not aware of who is working there. It is shocking to encounter such behavior in a 4-star hotel.Everyone else I met in Hamburg was kind and humorous, but my time in Hamburg turned into a nightmare due to this hotel staff member. As long as she continues to work there, other guests will undoubtedly suffer.
