Can’t rate the rooms as we didn’t stay here, just ate. Myself and the family have been here a number of times over the years, often as part of a large group for an annual “goose feast”. This year that didn’t happen, but as we were hankering after a November goose we (a party of 4) called at very short notice and got a table (you have to reserve around Christmas - they turned many parties away whilst we were eating).The food and service was great as always - the kitchen is open which I love, and the staff are very “Franconian”. The price, as everywhere, has gone up: but for the quality and the quantity it’s still great value.A good choice of local wine by the glass or bottle rounded off a nice, hearty meal.

Don’t go this place. I don’t understand why but they didn’t want to service us. Cold reception and answers. I think that’s happened just because we are toruist!

I was here on business and spontaneously looked for a pub for dinner - the dish of the day was veal liver outside, so I went in. A very good decision. I was welcomed by a friendly, rustic atmosphere and very friendly service. And the veal liver was simply fantastic. Plus a fresh country beer - a perfect dinner table. Gladly again!

The three of us went there to eat, so the review only refers to the food and not the rooms. We sat in the beer garden, which was very comfortable and quiet despite the outside temperature being 32 degrees. The staff was very friendly and attentive. The food was prepared quickly and tasted simply delicious. The price is quite fair for this quality. We ate a salad, two beautifully spicy tomato soups, as well as venison goulash (which was so tender that it fell apart on the fork) and truffle pasta. Afterwards there was ice cream which was purchased from a local ice cream parlor and is also recommended. It should also be mentioned that at the beginning there was a small, refreshing cold cucumber soup as a gift from the kitchen.
