I needed accommodation at night with my bike and I was helped quickly. There was also a bottle of beer at night. Great location and courteous host. Simple, clean accommodation as it should be. Honest hospitality instead of fast WiFi. Delicious breakfast. Yes, time stood still a bit but I enjoyed it and unfortunately something like that is too rare! Thank you!

In 2008 we needed accommodation in Rothenfels. We decided on the anchor because homemade sausage was also advertised here and the atmosphere seemed very rustic. We decided to book dinner on site and we have never regretted it. I cook well myself, as I am always told, and I also write for a cooking magazine, but the roast kid with dumplings and green beans - simply sensational!!! One of many reasons why we kept coming back when we had time. There is also this beautiful view of the Main from the balcony. Mr. Schneider is an innkeeper who is very hospitable, even on the second visit after a year he was able to remember personal conversations we had. We've been there at least five times now, and we've also taken relatives with us and everyone was thrilled. We now have a guesthouse in Altenburg ourselves, so we don't have much time to go there again. Dear Schneider family, we hope ; We're always raving about your house and think you deserve a good entry here.
