We were there with 9 people and a motorcycle. We received a very friendly 😊 welcome and felt very comfortable. The food was delicious and the breakfast was plentiful and good. There was something for every taste. We were completely thrilled 🤩Thank you very much ♥

This was my second time in the hotel this year and once again I was very satisfied. The comfort double rooms are very spacious and have a bright, large bathroom and access to the garden. Each room has a small table with 2 chairs inside and outside. When the weather was nice, we enjoyed the afternoon sun.Our hosts (the hotel has been in the family for several generations) were very attentive. As soon as we arrived in the breakfast room, our coffee and tea were brought to us and every individual wish was saved for the rest of the week.The hotel offers dinner every day and the predominantly regional dishes were of a high standard in terms of quality and quantity.Even if we had eaten somewhere else, we were warmly welcomed for a nightcap. We then ended the evening with 2-3 card games.The towels were changed every 3rd day and the bed linen every 6th day.The hotel is located almost on the outskirts of town and you can immediately set off on hikes in the surrounding area. The hiking trails are very well marked and easy for normal city dwellers to walk.There are also rooms for dog owners.

We had the comfort room facing the garden with a beautiful lawn, but unfortunately no loungers. The room is spacious, but could use some modernization. Bathroom, also pleasantly large. On the terrace you sit too close to your neighbors, a boundary, e.g. a flower pot as a privacy screen, would be good.Unfortunately the hotel no longer offers coffee and cake, but Schmitt's Cafe is a very good alternative.

At least our quiet (single) rooms were simple but sufficient as a starting point for hikes and tours in the Rhön.The host and staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast buffet and dinner were both very tasty! Free and good internet reception. Very nice stay. Thanks!

Very nice hotel in a pleasantly quiet location. Delicious breakfast and good food in the guest room. Perfect starting point for many excursion destinations in the Rhön such as Wasserkuppe and Kreuzberg. Of course, many of the sights in Ostheim vor der Rhön can also be reached on foot from the hotel. Nice service and clean rooms.

Small, quiet hotel with a family atmosphere, where you are looked after by the owner himself. Solid German cuisine, breakfast buffet left nothing to be desired. The room facilities are no longer up to date, but everything is fine and very clean. Nice large bathroom with a really spacious shower. We took advantage of the location in the state triangle of Bavaria, Hesse and Thuringia to explore the beautiful scenic region of the Rhön in all directions. We can recommend this hotel to anyone who is looking for relaxation in nature and can/does not want to go fancy. Thank you! Ehlert family
