We were refered here by another hotell that was fully booked. We were not disappointed :)We arrived late and left early morning after breakfast.Nice location just next to the highway, beautiful and calm area.Room for 2 was nice and comfy, there was a balcony and tv, wifi and phone.Breakfast was great. Staff was friendly. Affordable and priceworthy.Would come back again. :)

Lovely guest house. Very clean room, cozy interiors and very nice staff. The owner and her mother will make you feel taken care of.Free wifi and nice size balcony in the room. Would definitely come back.

After driving from Venice, we arrived here at Gasthof Kessler and were able to book a room for two nights before traveling further.Reception: I was unable to switch back to German after 33 years of absence and not speaking any German- but the lady behind the desk was helpful and spoke to me in English.Room: fantastic on the third floor room 62, room looks like to be freshly repainted, excellent beds (king size) slept like a baby, tv, phone, great WIFI included, bathroom fantastic, higher than normal toilet bowl (great for my wife who has difficulty walking and or standing up), great shower no raised step up, rain shower head, vanity, heated towel rails … all looks fairly new and very clean.Good size balcony with the room.Beautiful view from the balcony.Restaurant: breakfast is included in the price €90/night/room for two people. The breakfast is not some cheap breakfast, it’s fantastic and has a large variety of choices.Dinner is beautiful, tasty and more than enough … Mr Kessler is “Der Kuchmeister” and man can he cook up a storm.Car parking: more than enough both in and outside and free.Elevator: YES, to all floors including the underground parking.All in all, we had a great stay with the family Kessler in their Gasthof and if we are able to come back to Europe (we are from Australia) we certainly know where we will go to when around Hammelburg.Price for a two persons room: €90/nightRestaurant dinner: between €30 - €50 for two.Service: *****Room 62: *****Quality of room/restaurant breakfast and dinner: *****Public transport access: in front of Gasthof KesslerLocation along the main road, the double glazing keeps the noise out.

Good place to stay night when travelling autobahn. Its about 2 minutes drive to autobahn.|4 person family room its big and there is large balcony also.|Room smells little bit cleaning, like chlorine.|Breakfast was good and staff service was good also

We arrives a bit late, but we were helped very fiendly. Rooms are ok. Bathroom also ok, but a bit small. It's possible to have a drink in the gasthof and also have a drink. ||It's very quiet near the hotel, but it's only about 1 minute drive to the highway.

Our week-long stay at this Gasthof in the Rhön was very enjoyable , and the food was delicious. Our hiking group made daily walks after breakfast to many interesting areas - the hotel owner personally arranged these daily side trips as part of our hotel package.This Gasthof even arranged bus transportation from our town near Frankfurt to the hotel and back. 🙂
