Cental locatiin, easy access to all local shops. We had a deluxe room, clean, spacious, light and airy. Daily cleaning, new towels etc. Breakfast typical German fare. The only thing I feel was missing is possibly some wine glasses in room so we could relax, and enjoy a bottle of the local vintage. Also given local market gardeners had so many fresh berries on sale, we could have them as an alternative for Breakfast.

Had to cancel a reservation last minute due to my wife feeling sick. I called ahead and the interaction with the man on the phone wasn't professional or pleasant. They ended up not finding my reservation anyway, which effectively solved the problem. The way this was handled makes me not want to come back. Cannot comment on the food. I feel like it was a stakeholder of the business that I talked to. It's not uncommon in Germany to deal with service issues, so don't be discouraged, it's quite normal to get a bit of attitude in hospitality businesses.

Restaurant review:Been going here the past 3 years to get a nice dinner with a good local wine, on our way to Denmark from Italy.We've tried the majority of their top wines, and the whites are good. ETHOS to the experimental side (Still more of a story than proven concept). This year, we tried their "top" red, and honestly, something was either off, or it is a horrible wine (we know our stuff, from vineyard to cellar to table). We kindly asked for something else, just even half a glass of something else for replacement, but we got to pay full 16 Eur for a glass we didn't drink without any concern from their side.The Silvaner was amazing, and we of course told that.Nice staff solid food - but the place might suffer from an owner without criticism towards own products. New tradition next year!

Very cozy typical German hotel in the marketplace. Good restaurant with cozy terrace. Big and very clean room. Delicious and extensive breakfast. Reasonable prices. Personal and committed. Are selling own good Franconian wines. We will come again.

A nice and clean hotel at the square in Hammelburg. This is usually our stopover in our way to Italy. They have a nice outside area for drinks and food. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The breakfast is typically German. It's also pet friendly and they allow small dogs without any extra charge. Free parking in garage.
