The house is beautifully located close to the old town. Checking in with the code is easy.The room was clean, the bathroom is quite small, but also clean. The TV programs on the huge television were not set up, which I found very disturbing.I could really use the earplugs in the bathroom because the window of my room faced the street and there was a bar opposite that was open until 3 a.m. Even with the window closed I understood every word.Everything was there for my morning tea.

Location very central. It's a little louder on weekends and in the evenings/nights. Own check-in! Clean nice room. Coffee, tea and water available for free! Parking takes about 7 minutes in a parking garage. Great for 1 or 2 nights!

Best location, rooms ok. No elevator, very narrow stairwell, no personal contact, no change of towels. Very loud towards the street at night. All in all too expensive.

We stayed there for one night and thought it was very nice! Price performance is right, nice and clean rooms, location is great. Picking up the key was also easy. We'd love to come back!

Very nicely furnished room located right next to the old town.Nice reception (only present for a short time because self-service). Comfortable and large box spring bed with 2 pillows, large TV, Nespresso machine with plenty of capsules, kettle, thick towels in the bathroom. There is a pleasant smell on the stairwell in the house. You really don't need anything more to have a pleasant stay. We were only able to stay one night unplanned, very accommodating processing, even though we had booked a non-refundable offer. Thanks!The parking situation in Lüneburg is not easy, and it is also a city with plenty of one-way streets. There is resident parking directly at the guesthouse, and you can park for just 2 hours on neighboring streets until 6 p.m. We parked in a central space for a few hours and reparked in the evening from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 a.m. without any fees.

What I liked about my room in the Gästehaus zum Roten Hahn was the view of the St. Nicolai Church, the size, the comfortable bed and the central location. Less convincing were the small bathroom with the narrow shower cubicle, minor negligence in cleanliness and the partial lack of soundproofing. I found it a bit too expensive for what was offered. We recommend! Very good facilities in the deluxe room. Absolutely courteous welcome from the owner! Why 5 stars? It was once noted here that 5 stars was an exaggeration... In my review, I rate this room, this place and do not make a comparison with accommodations where (e.g. Berlin - my hometown) a double room without breakfast costs around EUR 6,000 have to be paid per night! Here I found a top room, very clean, well-kept, coffee machine with matching pods, tea bags. Cups etc., packed toothbrushes with toothpaste. Modern room with WiFi, TV, bathroom with shower gel, etc. So, why shouldn't I rate such a great guest house as 5 star accommodation? And then there is a very pleasant landlord who offers everything to his guests for an absolutely reasonable price. The fact that parking options are limited is due to the location in Lüneburg. Everywhere..., but the Roter Hahn guesthouse is very centrally located - in the middle of a holiday paradise. Many thanks also from my wife, who rates everything the same way. The hotel/inn is well suited for a few nights.However, a few reviews that give 4-5 stars exaggerate, that's absolute nonsense!There is no/sometimes a reception or no reception.Parking poor.Price performance ratio OK.The rooms are clean and in a tidy condition.The bed is comfortable.The bathroom is a bit outdated and could be completely renovated BUT tip top clean and well maintained!Getting the keys via the key safe worked without any problems.We felt comfortable and can recommend this guesthouse.

Centrally located hotel with nice, clean and well-equipped rooms.You can check in contactlessly using a key machine, but during the day the small reception is also staffed in a friendly manner.It's a shame that no breakfast is offered. But there are some cafes nearby.Finding a parking space in the immediate vicinity is a matter of luck. We were recommended the parking garage at the train station for €7 a day. Fits.
