Stayed here for one night only... unfortunately not the best experienceI have travelled enough to sort expect some hotel rooms not to look much like some of the pictures.this one certainly doesn't..Firstly you walk in the bar area to check in ..the guy asked me for payment even though I had already paid...After we sorted it out...he showed us to our room..Booked two rooms for me and a traveling friendMy room was not the best but my friends room was even worse..Would have left only it was late and already paid for.Grubby dirty room..old worn bed sheets and pillowsMy friends room door had a bodge repair from where the lock had been booted in...Said it was a ten minute walk to the nearby old Roman bridge... believe me.. you wouldn't have walked down the steep hill and certainly not have walked up in ten minutes...I will say it was a peaceful and beautiful locationAnd if the owner just spends a little on TLC and DIY it can be a nice place to stay

This hotel is more like a B&B - the rooms feel more homey than your regular hotel and it appears to be run by a family. The family was very friendly and welcoming - they even gave me some Baklava to try! The rooms were a little dirty (marks on the walls, floors a bit sticky), and there was no room cleaning for the duration of my stay (3 nights). There is also NO PUBLIC TRANSPORT TO THE HOTEL as the bus system is now on a "smart shuttle" program, meaning you have to download an app and order a shuttle because the line isn't used enough for regular busses. It costs more than a regular bus and the app is only in German. You also need a German mobile number to set it up! The walk up is strenuous, especially with baggage, and it's not in an ideal location to explore the city. It would be great if you have a car! The sound proofing is also not that great (I could hear guests talking and coughing in the other room, as well as people walking up and down the stairs to the rooms). I wouldn't recommend if you are a light sleeper. Overall, the people that run the hotel were very kind and welcoming, but consider if the location is right for you! It would be great for hiking, but not for exploring the city and it's sights!

Very nice hotel driven by a family. Everything was clean, the regular dubbelroom had a magnificant wiev! They had a great big outdoor-restaurant with the same wiev and lots of space. And with all that said, the food was so good, homemade and with fresh vegitables, priced as at Mc Donalds!! Good wine and beer from the region. We travel with two small dogs, and by car so there is an extra plus for the ability to bring dogs and also there is a free parking. It is so worth the stop, only 10 minutes from the busy hiway travelling south-north through Europe. Only reason I dont give 5 stars for everything, "only" 4 stars for the room, is because it isn't a luxuary hotel, only a very nice avarage hotel.

For 1 day sleeping is ok. We stayed for 2 days, they didnt clean the room and didn't replace towels. View is ok, but you can get better view of whole city down the street.

I was needed room for just a night, and I arrived very late without booking, and reception was already closed. But thanks to the one guy in the restaurant everything was resolved. He called to his boss and helped me to arrange one room even without any prepayment. Room was big enough and clean.

We had a small room but with mountain view. The view was mesmerizing with autumn colors. The breakfast was prepared accordingly to our list and better than buffet. We really liked our stay 🙂

Good food and a lively atmosphere. Although the restaurant was crowded with locals watching Germany play Sweden in the world cup match, our party was seated in a quieter room with a beautiful view of the hills and woods. I had the beef roulade with red cabbage and roasted potatoes. It was very tasty. Our server was also very attentive.
