I had regularly booked the Blue Suite. On the day of arrival I got a call that this suite had water damage. However, they could offer me a double room. Which we then took. This was supposed to be my birthday weekend. The room is absolutely identical to all the pictures. The toilet ceiling squeaks when lowered, which wakes up the other guests at night, so we left it up. Bed was very comfortable. TV has a Fire TV Stick, which is great in itself. He only goes on strike if he streams too much. On the weekend we had between 27 and 32 degrees. The room does not have air conditioning nor are there fans. When I asked, they also said “we don’t have any fans”. First breakfast was very spartan. But we were asked if we wanted scrambled eggs or fried eggs. There were 2 types of sausage, ham and 2 types of salami, 3 types of cheese, Camembert, cucumber, peppers, tomatoes with mozzarella, orange juice and multivitamin juice. Yogurt was only available in a ready-made cup. 3 different rolls and grain bread. When we were out all day and got to the hotel, we were very amazed. The bed hadn't been made, the toilet flush plate still had fingerprints on it from the day before. And still no fan. Oh yes, the staff knew it was my birthday on Saturday. Unfortunately, there wasn't even any congratulations. I found it a bit disappointing. Breakfast the next day looked almost exactly the same as the day before. This time there were boiled eggs, but they weren't warmed up and were waiting in the egg cup to be taken away. This time we weren't asked if we wanted scrambled eggs, there were some at the buffet. Kept warm with a tealight candle. Coffee came almost when we were finished. There is a railway line nearby, although the hotel is on a side street.My conclusion from everything...... The staff is young and nice, but certainly inexperienced. That was everything, just not 4 stars. In some guesthouses I am better entertained and treated as a guest. It's a shame about the money and a shame for the birthday weekend. I had imagined something different. I wanted to feel like a princess for a weekend.

A really great hotel, the owner has been really good to us and they are all very hospitable. We couldn't have asked for a better night in this beautiful hotel!

This seems like a good hotel, but somehow everything was left to chance. The interiors of the hall and rooms are beautiful, you feel like you are in a castle, there is an elevator, which is certainly convenient. There is a small gym. Breakfast is quite boring and meager, there is not even jam, only honey and chocolate spread, but this is all individual. The coffee is excellent! The staff had mixed feelings, we were greeted by an empty reception desk, they called all the numbers to meet us, a boy came and for some reason started asking why we came!? Seriously!? Then a woman came with the phrase that we were very lucky that they managed to prepare the room and this was 20 minutes before check-in. Again, what!?The girls for tomorrow were very friendly and nice! By the way, payment is only in cash, we were given a check! There is also parking at the hotel. The location is good, so I can recommend the hotel.

Very pleasant atmosphere. Large, very well-kept room with a baroque interior. Very tasty food with attentive service. Beautiful location with an easy-to-imagine view of the Lahn. We felt very comfortable.
