Food is amazing! Nice Ambiente.Service seems a little bit irritated when you are not a hotel guest and don’t have a reservation for 2 for lunch (during the week) - then they seat you in the tight corner even though all tables are free and remain free. Some waiters are just this way! That’s how you lose your tip.

Food deserves 5 starHotel is 3 star per se. there is a towel that is randomly placed in the toilet when I stepped in the room. The voice insulation is also subpar - I was awaken by my neighbor’s alarm. There’s no AC but a fan.In sum, you get what you pay for

Stepping into Frankenturm in Trier, you expect the usual Italian eatery experience, but here’s where it takes an interesting twist—more on that in a bit. I came here with high hopes, and I must say, the place did not disappoint, scoring a solid 4 out of 5 in my book.Let's dive into the pizza first because it truly deserves the spotlight. The pizza at Frankenturm was a culinary delight. Perfectly baked, with a crust that achieved that elusive balance between crispy and chewy, topped with fresh, vibrant toppings that sang with flavor. Each slice was a testament to how keeping things simple but using quality ingredients can lead to greatness. It was the kind of pizza that you’d crave even after you've left the restaurant. Now, about the pricing—it was spot on. In today’s world where dining out can often feel like a luxury, Frankenturm offers a breath of fresh air. Fair prices for delicious food mean you can treat yourself to a pizza night without any accompanying wallet guilt. However, every rose has its thorn, and at Frankenturm, it was the surprising absence of complimentary bread before or during the meal—a rarity in Italian dining. Bread at an Italian table is almost a given, a warm welcome while you peruse the menu or wait for your dish. Its absence was felt, like missing a handshake when you meet someone. It was one of those moments that had me scratching my head, wondering if the waiter had perhaps forgotten, but no, it seems to be the norm here.Service-wise, the staff were attentive. Their promptness and approachable demeanor added a nice touch to the evening, ensuring that the bread situation was but a minor hiccup in an otherwise lovely dining experience. In conclusion, Frankenturm in Trier is a charming spot that I’d recommend to anyone with a serious pizza craving. It’s a place that marries good food with good value, set in a cozy atmosphere that welcomes you warmly—just don’t expect the traditional bread basket. Come for the pizza, stay for the vibes, and you’ll leave happy, planning your next visit.

Food from the kitchen was amazing, and there is a primivito on the menu for the house wine. The rooms were wonderful as well, loved the left over balcony where it still has the original wording on the walls attached. Room was very cozy and a taste of the local history..

We had a great dinner. We arrived very late before closing but without hesitation we were welcomed in and experienced great service throughout the meal. We all had pasta or risotto and were very happy with the quality of the food. I would definitely revisit as well as recommend to others.

We only stayed in the hotel and didn't have anything from the restaurant, but service was very friendly and approachable. It felt like they actually cared about our experience at the hotel. The room was spacious and cozy, and despite being in a very central location in the city, there wasn't much noise. Overall recommend staying there for such an affordable price

Very popular en busy place. Packed from 18:00. Staff was very accommodating to seat us without a reservation. Had a lovely tomato soup that was served how I really like it, hot! Also had a great Calzone. Wait time once ordered was very acceptable even though the place was full. Oh do be prepared for s stern "Nein!" And seeing him walk away If you ask one of the staff if he speaks English. We thought it was funny. We speak some German but sometimes the English just slips out. definitely recommend going here.
