When every other hotel in Bernkastel Kues was fully booked for the Middelmosel wine festival, we were still able to get a room at the Augustus, which was probably the first warning.  …

The location is not convenient at all the the areas villages. There is no Air conditioning at this hotel and the night we stayed, there was a lot of outside noise from other guests until at least midnight. loud talking, slamming doors etc. …

Stayed there in February 2nd, 2023 with my younger brother. I'm 43 and he is 36, coming back from a ski trip before flying from Frankfurt.I'm originally a Brazilian, so not many things can scare me.But the dark dark long windowless corridors with orange doors and creepy paintings, actually reminded the both of us of the Overlook hotel from the shinning movie.I know you guys want to save with electricity, but it was actually very hard to activate the motion sensors and get a decent light through the corridors. And when we did it, we faced the creepy creepy paintings.Definitely scared the hell out of me and my brother.Very dark place, closed hotel with very few windows. Small old rooms, old toilets.Silver lining were the supermarket and liquor store across the street.

The hotel is okayish, but I would not visit it again if there are other options to explore. It has some of the smallest rooms I've ever seen. Similar to what you find in the middle of the old town in Amsterdam. The breakfast was quite expensive with 23 Euro for 2 persons for what was offered. Had better breakfasts in the same region for a lower price.Staff is friendly.

The airconditiong didn't work properly, which wasn't very pleasant with the hot weather. Apart from that, the room was very clean, a bit small but not too small, a nice bathroom (with glass walls, so if you don't like seeing eachother shower, go someplace else). Also you have to make sure to arrive at breakfast early if you want to be sure of a seat and if you don't want to queue for over 15 minutes.

Travelled an hour to this hotel purely because it was meant to be wheelchair accessible to find the disabled parking spaces full of vehicles with no disabled badges (including multiple motorbikes) meaning we had to unload a wheelchair before trying to park the vehicle. Then arrived to find the lift not working- how is this meant to be accesible exactly?Truly disappointing

The bathroom is clogged, you only get one keycard for a 2-person room and the hotel building is awful. The staff is unfriendly and the neighborhood stinks.

Small and expensive room. Free parking outside the hotel. Located a little bit outside Bernkastel, but walking distance to the centre. A supermarket is located near the hotel with the possibility of buying breakfast in their cafe.
