This place can seem a bit touristy and in the middle of everything, but it turned out to be a positively delightful experience with a nice and spacious room with a very comfortable bed and a large bathroom with bathtub. We went here in some distress after a horrible experience at a different hotel, and the guy in the reception was so kind and helpful, and we even got offered free breakfast. This was the light at the end of a very long and tiring day, and we're incredibly grateful for the service, comfort and hospitality

If you're looking for central location, this can't be beat. Right on the central plaza across from the cathedral. The rooms are not incredible. Some looked very odd (open to stairways). Ours had almost no window, very small and a long pathway through the wall to the outside. But they're spacious and the bathroom was good. Staff was nice. Overall, exactly what we wanted.

This is the most awful, sad and dilapidated hotel I have ever stayed in and completely undeserving of a 4 star hotel rating. Every element of this establishment is run down and depressed. Under no circumstances will anyone from my organisation ever set foot in the tragic environment again.Nul points.

Perfect location in the middle of the old city, literally in front of the cathedral. That can be the best or somewhat bad thing as you will hear the church bell rings in the morning, several times :) Rooms are tiny, and very dark, with only the essentials. If you are a big person,or just someone who likes being able to open the door without hitting the bedside, you might want to look for someplace else. Comfy and clean bed, very nice service, simple and fast check in and check out and someone carrying your bags to the room. Nice offer for breakfast - french style.

This is the worst hotel I’ve ever stayed at. I’ve never written reviews for hotels because usually they meet the expectations but this is just so terrible I don’t understand how is it possible they are rated as 4 star hotel. We arrived at the hotel and were greeted by a rude receptionist. He was rude the whole time we are checking, an annoyed face like we did something wrong. He didn’t give us wifi password during check in, so later I went to ask for it and he said he already gave me and was not happy to share the password with me again. The worst part is the room. It looks nothing like the picture advertised and looks like a servant room basically. Only has two windows slightly bigger than my hand, very dark. We had to bend our head to access the door, my boyfriend is tall and he kept hitting his head on the beams in the room. I paid $250 for one night. When I go talk to the receptionist he said that’s the only room they have available and they don’t show all the pictures online, and if I need a better room I should pay extra $100 and he was very rude and refuse to do anything. See the pictures I attached, the first one is our room and other ones are what was advertised when I booked. I have never been so disappointed at a hotel. AVOID. I don’t understand how is it even legal to market this as a 4 start hotel. It feels like a scam.

I travel to Strasbourg very frequently for work. For the first time ever, I have chosen this hotel to stay close to the cathedral and restaurants.I checked in at 4.30pm after 12 hours of travelling and left the hotel again to go for dinner. I slept and woke up to have a shower and go to work. The attached are photos of how I found the bathroom. The towels were everywhere and were evidently used! I took the floor mat off the bath tub and found hairs and other dirt from the floor on its bottom which showed that the floor mat had been used too. I checked the bed linen on the other side of where I slept. It was evidently with used bed sheets and pillow! Glass on the sink was used, bin near coffee machine was used. The most basic thing to do when managing a hotel is change these things. Where is the hygiene??I went down to reception and asked for towels to shower and for the room to be cleaned after I leave for my meeting. Before leaving, I marked the pillow, sheets and quilt with some toothpaste. I was assured that the sheets would be removed and changed. I came back after work and to my astonishment, the bed was made up but the sheets and quilt were still the same! Only the pillow cover was changed. The receptionist offered another room, but I insisted that I get fresh bedsheets instead. He did not want to because he said there was a problem with the chambermaids. So I had to accept moving to another room.I went out for dinner knowing that when I return back I would neither shower, not sleep because I would not trust the cleanliness of this new room.I walked back to the hotel and at the lift I was greeted by one of the stuff holding tissue boxes. He said hello, so I returned the greeting. His next question was "what room number are you in?". I answered that he did not need to know! The guy went mad. He was telling me that he worked there and had every right to ask in which room I was staying. I don't know what else he said, because I made sure the lift closed and I pressed three different buttons to ensure he didn't know on which floor I stopped. I don't know why he wanted the room number. Try to figure it out yourself...Apart from the great ordeal with all the above, I picked up an eye infection which must have surely been a result of using someone else's pillow. Thanks to their surreal practice I also had a doctor visit and medication to pay.

Pathetic and Horrible!Nothing to like in the property. Despite having senior citizens with us and after so much request, the staff deliberately provided us room with inhabitable conditions. The pot was 1 metre in front of the pillow. The bathroom door couldn’t open and touched the bed sheet, a pregnant woman cannot even enter the bathroom nor could my spouse without being smashed in the stomach, the room equipments were filled with dust like door, water kettle dust that has deposited with months and days of no stay.this was the treatment meted out to us to rob us of our money and forcing us to stay in such inhabitable conditons. Despite requesting , an alternate accomodation was not provided, nor was the room changed, nor any financial reimbursement. we barely somehow stayed the night and vacated the property by morning 9.the hotel staff was indifferent to us. Please avoid stay here

One of the most beautiful hotels in the City. Clean rooms, romantically furnished, directly opposite the cathedral. We come often and enjoy it.

Nice hotel with helpful staff. Rooms are French but clean and comfortable. Our room did had a window to the hall inside and a bathroom that had direct access to all chimneys of surrounding restaurants.Breakfast is very expensive and from what we could see not very special (19 euro per person, per morning for a 'continental'). Outside are some nice bakeries that serve better for that price.Location is excellent! In front of the beautiful Notre Dame.
