We ate at the restaurant on numerous occasions during our very short stay in Tegernese... We were amazed by the views, incredibly friendly staff and phenomenal food on offer. It was a dream to sit outside on the terrace and look at the lake and the Alpes and we admired the traditional charming decor in doors. It'll remain one of our favourite memories on this holiday. Thank you.

Fantastic place! We hiked up for lunch & had a great time. It's cozy, friendly, great views & good food. They have a lot of vegetarian and vegan options as well. Highly recommended!

We organized a a-la-carte lunch for our wedding here with 13 persons, it was lovely and we can totally recommend it for low-key weddings; we sat outside and enjoyed the beautiful view over the lake; for the light drizzle the staff had umbrellas and pulled them up immediately; the food was great and lots of vegetarian options, and a gluten-free Kaiserschmarn; friendly staff and one of the few places that I could get rather spontaneously a table for a low key wedding; only downside we were charged 180EUR for the white table cloth and napkins (rather pricy)

Literally one of my favorite meals of all time! We went in fall of 2021. After a long day of hiking the chicken schnitzel was the most delicious thing ever. The view is absolutely gorgeous. The staff was nice and didn’t mind our poor German thankfully! Hope to go back one day.

Beautiful view but you need a car to get fhere. Lovely traditional Bayerische meals. Kaiserschmarm the Best!

amazing food and amazing view. we used to come here more often before. today was the first time after covid. unfortunately, the staff were not as friendly and courteous as before. the one who served our table came assuming we are done eating and just put together our plates to collect. he did so without even asking if we are done eating. there's still food on the plate so we had to stop him to say we are bot yet done eating! he came back this time to collect our glasses which were again not empty 😠😐 and again without uttering any questions to ask if we were finished 🤯 we didn't really understand the rush when there were at least 5 empty tables outside and inside the restaurant was completely empty. there were no guests waiting.

Great view, very good schnitzel and potatoes, good beer. Waiting staff was friendly despite the rush of getting everything inside due to incoming rain. They brought a waterbowl for my dog without asking. Do recommend.

Great view, horrible service. Pointed out glass of wine had some cork in it, waitress merely acknowledged, it happens, it was a new bottle. Tried to order dessert and was told the kitchen had closed. No warning or taking final orders. Bathrooms not marked at all. Tried to ask wait staff but they refused to acknowledge my presence.

A hotspot for both locals and tourists. Traditional half-timber decoration that gives you warm feeling instantly. The food price is slightly expensive for the quality. I ordered the pull pork burger, the meat was chewy and hard but the drinks were good value. Overall worth stopping for a beer.
