I have stayed at the Wendelstein for 4 days on a business trip.The rooms were big and well equipped. The hosts polite and welcoming.It was a nice feeling to be in a pension built with a traditional Bayerisch design.Matresses of the beds a little too soft for me.Bathrooms modern and spacious.Unlucky for me to have rain and snow all days, so I couldn’t enjoy the inner terrace of the pension and the beautiful views to the mountains.The only negatives I would point out: no breakfast offered (and I would have really liked to taste some inhouse made traditional Bayern dishes) and the fact that I was hanging the please don’t disturb sign during the day when I was away, but they would still enter the room, clean and change the towels. Which was fine for cleanliness sake, but it wasn’t absolute necessary and a waste of energy.And the fact that starting approx 2-3 AM the temperature in the room was dropping, probably due to an automatic setting to lower the energy consumption.Gerne wieder da, wenn ich in Miesbach bin.

We stayed at Pension Wendelstein numerous times and we are always looking forward to our next stay at this lovely family run place. Comfortable and charming rooms! Good breakfast, too. Good location for excursion to Schliersee and Tegernsee.

Our stay was the third time at Pension Wendelstein. It is a nice pension with very pleasent owner. The breakfast is perfect with many delicious salats, buns, cereals, jams etc. The location is quite perfect at all seasons. you get to various funiculars and lakes in less than 15 minutes. ||Surely this was not our last stay :)

We really enjoyed our one night at the Pension Wendelstein. We would recommend it highly to those, like us, who seek the out of the ordinary. Small, personal, friendly, and a great value. Not to be compared to some cookie-cutter hotel chain.
