It goes without saying that the entire experience is always above and beyond in atmosphere, in service, in quality of spa experiences, food and drinks, and how welcoming all of the staff are! …

Do not miss this beautiful hotel with an amazing view of the lake. The room was perfect, clean and beautiful. Beds extremely comfortable. Staff was very helpful and went out of their way to assist. Breakfast was amazing as well - great selection.

Such an incredibly beautiful location. Fantastic staff and facilities. The absence of air conditioning, while principled in reason, can be difficult in summer; and the shower temperatures can be variable. These are minor complaints however, I would return without any hesitation.

Our stay at Das Tegernsee was ruined by the rude staff at the property! We paid for one of the best suites in the hotel expecting a serene getaway from the city chaos, but it was the opposite of that!We were eagerly looking forward to our 2 night-stay at Das Tegernsee, thinking it would be the perfect getaway after the hectic weekend we had at Oktoberfest in Munich. However, on arriving, we were coldly welcomed by an unpleasant receptionist. On checking us in, we requested her to show us around the property and she proceeded with a displeased expression, as if we had asked for too much! She started mumbling under her breath, barely audible to us, speaking half the words in German when she knew we didn’t know the language. Not the best start to our stay! We headed for our room- which I must say was gorgeous! We tried to forget the unpleasant welcome and decided to treat ourselves at the restaurant. Again, they didn’t have an English menu so we were verbally told the menu. Having had great experiences with our boutique properties in Germany in the past, we weren’t worried about finding dishes despite our dietary restrictions (we are both vegetarian). Sadly, the only vegetarian dish they could offer is the same old green salad with cherry tomatoes.. we had to fill up our hungry tummies at lunch with just the salad. Next morning, our experience at breakfast was sadly no different! There was nothing vegetarian available at the buffet, so we requested the server to speak to the chef so he could whip up a quick avocado toast for us (something we’ve done in many hotels in the past, never been an issue). The server, clearly looking over-worked and frustrated, ignored our request. We waited for 10-15 min for some response, then quested the server again. This time, he was aggressive, talking brashly and loudly, saying ‘no, I will not call the chef for you’. We were taken aback, almost shocked at his rudeness. He eventually called his senior manager after calming down who was very sweet and accommodated our request.Overall, while the properly was beautiful, location and views were exquisite, we still had one of the worst experiences we’ve had in Europe. We paid a premium for the best suite in the property’s castle building, expecting a relaxing stay. However, our stay was the opposite of that. This property is a true example of how important a role the staff and the service plays in your experience. The staff were inhospitable and borderline rude during our stay. They are not well equipped for international guests. I hope they can work on improving their hospitality so more people can enjoy the beautiful property and lake views!

My wife and i enjoyed our little get away at your hotel. the service was excellent, the location is stunning, the spa was really nice and had everything one would wish for.the only things we would negatively comment would be our room 804. it is a clean modern room with a nice view to the Lake. however, the bed was very uncomfortable and was moving each time one of us moved, which was annoying. we could hear each step from the people in the upper floor and sometime throughout the whole night. there was no additional chair in the room or a sideboard and the worst is, wifi was each night down and no one could fix it until the IT did a reset in the morning. the kitchen was not required and takes up lots of place..

One of the best places I’ve ever stayed! The town is amazing, and this classic hotel on the hilltop is the perfect place to stay. The breakfast, pool, spa, rooms, and service were all perfect.
