Sitting out of town this hotel is a very traditional Saxon offering. It has a lovely setting by a stream and has all you need onsite. The staff are helpful and the food is delicious! ||Great value stay and certainly a traditional experience

Extremely RUDE staff! It cannot be put into words. We hadn't registered our toddler, which was described as impertinent. We were denied a cot. Of course we were aware that we would have to pay an extra charge for our child, but the manner of the staff has nothing to do with service.When we left it was pouring rain and we had to leave the house, although one of us still had to get the car. We were told that the child would grow in the rain. Simply bottomless.Rooms are clean, but have true 90s charm. Price disproportionate. Staff should urgently be replaced or change professions.

Rating of the inn with bed and breakfastPositive:Nice location:The inn is located in an attractive setting next to a large railway viaduct.Cozy rooms:The rooms are nicely and comfortably furnished.Negatives:- Overwhelmed operation:The staff seemed overwhelmed and was very harsh, which made the stay unpleasant. An insulting comment was even made at the end.- Quality of the food:The food was disappointing. One dish, offered as beef tenderloin, consisted of pieces of beef covered with a slice of toasted brown bread and fried completely. Any feedback on this was dismissed without apology or redress. For €31.00 this was not good value for money. The sauerbraten was very dry.- Feeling unwell after eating:A person who ate the herring felt very uncomfortable the entire night.- Breakfast offering was mediocre.The bread that was served was dry.The fruit selection for breakfast was poor. For about 18 people there was only a banana, an orange, a kiwi and an apple in pieces and a few strawberries. At €12.00 we found it too expensive.Conclusion:Despite the beautiful location and the cozy rooms, the inn is not necessarily recommended due to the above-mentioned service and the poor quality of the food. Unfortunately, the price-performance ratio is not right here.

Very nice service from a courteous young lady, it's a shame that she always had to wait a bit because she worked alone.2 forces could certainly have shortened the waiting times.Unfortunately I can't give a review for the room because I only came to eat.

Unfortunately we received a very unfriendly welcome because we were traveling with our dog. Although it was advertised online that dogs were welcome, we were told that we were not allowed to move into the room we had booked. It was only after a long discussion that the front desk finally gave in to the information about what was on the homepage. When we left, we had to justify our decision to come with a dog again. Very customer-unfriendly and incomprehensible to us.The room was clean but quite spartan. The price for this is too high. The breakfast was okay.Due to the way the staff and owner treated us, we can advise against visiting this hotel.

Be careful when checking in late. The bell doesn't work properly! And this is what the hotel is known for! We still collected the money for the online booking and had to rebook somewhere else because they didn't hear the bell!

We, a small group of bikers from Thuringia, spent 3 days at the Hotel Waldfrieden and from there explored Central Saxony. We were greeted very friendly and immediately felt welcome.You can tell that the employees and of course the chef put their hearts into their work. The service was just great. A small but completely sufficient menu.Everything here is freshly prepared and very tasty. Price/performance is completely fine. The entire house including the rooms makes a well-kept impression.We would love to come back, we were impressed by the friendly Saxon manner. Kind regards to the entire staff from the 7 Thuringian bikers.

We had a delicious meal here at Christmas. Kudos for the service and cuisine. Nice and considerate service and really delicious food that you can't find everywhere. Keep it up. We would love to come back and would be happy to recommend Waldfrieden!A little well-intentioned note: Become a little more active on social media, I think that could bring you even more satisfied guests.
