It’s a lovely place : large rooms, mine with its own private kitchenette, and a fully equipped kitchen for the whole house also (see photograph). The room, as well as being large, was excellent value and extremely clean. It’s a roughly fifteen-minute walk from the railway station to the property on flat ground. There appear to be parking spaces but I did not have a car. If you like gardens there is a large and beautiful garden out the back, which leads to some rooms.

The hosts of the Geli guesthouse are super nice people. Hosts with passion. The accommodation is fascinating. You have the feeling of feeling a touch of Italy in the garden. The rooms are beautifully designed and the breakfast leaves nothing to be desired.We would like to thank the hosts once again for the wonderful holiday and the always friendly exchange with you and we are already looking forward to seeing you again.Have a good time until then and lots of great guests,wishes the Utermöhlen family

We have been coming here at least twice a year for 2 years now.The hosts are super friendly.We always have contact via email and communication works smoothly.Check-in is usually contactless, but the hosts will ask via email or phone call during the stay whether everything is OK. Even when I thought I had already booked for the winter in the summer and I hadn't booked it yet, the team still made everything possible so that we could still get a room, even though they had already had many Christmas parties and were actually fully booked .The rooms are very clean and spacious. Very quiet location. There is a small refrigerator in the room and there is a shared kitchen where you can make coffee or warm up a little something to eat.The route into town takes around 15 minutes on foot.When we are in Heide, then only this guest house.Five stars are actually not enough.Dear Guesthouse Geli team, keep it up 👏🏻 😊Greetings from the beautiful Black Forest.

We were invited to a private party nearby and found the Geli guesthouse and booked a double room. The reception was just great! The hostess was very nice and personable and was really happy to have us as guests! We also observed the same thing with other guests. A real hostess!The accommodation itself was everything you could wish for!! Not an anonymous, always the same bed castle, but lovingly individually furnished! Great mattresses, everything was very, very clean, great TV, free WiFi, nice outdoor area. At the next celebration in Heide, we would love to come here again!

Very easy to check in even if you arrive after 6 p.m. You don't have to come with the expectations of a hotel. It's incredibly quiet. The equipment is good, everything is there. Small kitchen with the most important things. Shower and toilet tidy. Very clean. Very friendly and helpful landlords. Very good location for things to do. The most important things are within a 40 km radius.

Rooms furnished with love, some of them small. Dear people who run this. We are here for the second and not the last time. A new kitchen is being installed at the moment, but the rooms have a fridge and a kettle, so that'll be fine. Breakfast here is otherwise very tasty. This time it's at the bakery, but we were informed beforehand.Loving service and a great facility with lots of cute ones. I call it hobbit caves because you can reach many rooms via the garden, each with its own door.

I was in Heide for an event. I chose the Geli guesthouse to stay overnight. A decision I will NOT repeat.In bed you had the feeling you were lying on the floor and it creaked endlessly.The shower joints were mostly grey/black with mold as was the walled-in ventilation flap.From what I've seen of the guesthouse, it urgently needs to be brought up to date with the latest technology and the rooms modernized.The price/performance ratio is terribly badThe best thing, in a negative sense, was that despite the booking and the associated confirmation, no one knew about me.The boss was on vacation, the very nice older lady who looked after the house tried very hard to offer me a room despite the guesthouse being fully booked.As a result, a guest who had rented 2 rooms was quickly thrown out of 1 room without clarifying this beforehand. And then the guest didn't even rearrange everything in the secretary and everything stayed in the bathroom.For me as a restaurateur in the hotel industry, this is an absolute NO-GOAnyway
