We were pleasantly surprised with this charming hotel. Although it’s not new, it has been very well maintained. The outside and the foyer can give you an outdated feel, but the halls and rooms are very charming, spacious and spotless. Its really remarkable how clean everything is: no dirt, no dust.. Many hotels can really take an example from this.You notice that a lot work was done to renovate. Rooms are freshly painted and it seems that this is something that is done regularly. (Since I saw some paint of the hotel owner hands). I think this hotel is ran by two people and it’s nice to see how passionate they are with maintenance and the service.The bathrooms are also very clean nd hygienic. No spots, no mold, clean showers,… even freshly painted walls (above the tiles) and fresh clean silicon in the seams of the shower. In short: you see a lot of work is done to maintain everything.For only 7,5€ you get a very complete breakfast. Eggs, breads, sereals, quite the choices in cheese and meats, jams, several yochurts, juices, coffee and much more. Many hotels who charge double dont even serve half or deliver the same standard of service.If I need to give a negative point: a second pillow would have been nice. But I bet that if you asked, even that would not have been a problem. Outside is a small lake, ideal for walking or taking out the dog. This was for us the perfect place to stay a night while passing through. We will definitely come back next time.

The beds have horrible mattresses, pillows are the cheapest, as well as bed sheets and blankets. Water in bath tub doesn’t drain. Very old hair-dryer. Doors open very inconveniently taking all the space in small entrance. Breakfast is some eggs, few vegetables, and sliced ham. Very poor maintenance for double room of €120 per night.

Perfect stopover near the highway, especially when traveling with dogs (there are a nice lake and park just behind the hotel). The hotel itself is dated but our room was spacious and clean. Nice no-nonsense breakfast.You can arrive after the reception is closed, just mention that while booking and they'll leave your key in a key box.

A fine establishment with a mix of vintage German style rooms and hi tech bathrooms. The smell of cleaning supplies stain the hallways but the rooms have a weird smell to them.The day before I arrived I was informed that the restaurant was closed due to a private gathering. Children from the party in ages 3-6 ran up and down the hallway screaming.The breakfast was very good, though it does not offer a huge variety, what is served is fresh and satisfying. 3 stars.

I stayed with my son for 2 days. Its was clean & cosy. The shower was great! Breakfast was alright. ||The room was a little run-down but it was clean. We had a pleasant stay. ||The staff was helpful.||We would stay here again in the future

I was not a guest in the hotel itself but I was enjoying the lake and the small park area behind the hotel building. You're able to walk there with your dog or get together with your friends to have a barbecue at the little barbecue station. It's a nice place to take a few minutes for calming down.

Beware that if you arrive late, there might not be anybody speaking English. The hotel is actually called Seegarten, so don't look for Akzent :) other funny thing: the guy had no clue we booked through the internet via an hotel spicialised …
