Perfect location close to ferry. Very nice staff. The hotel is under renovation so expect to wake early. You need a car to go into town since there are no taxi or public transport- we were told.

We booked this place on a fairly short notice (less than a week) since it seemed the attractive at the price in comparison to rest of the offerings on the Island. …

Rooms and furniture itself not in bad condition if you take to a count their age. At some point i did enjoy that old style. Definitely bathroom could be refurbished. And small fridge was barely working ...Apart from that all clean and tidy

We choose to break our drive to Sweden before the ferry. This hotel is just outside the ferry terminal for the crossing to Rødby, Denmark. The rooms are clean and spacious. …

The hotel is okay, rooms were clean and comfortable. Breakfast was good (rolls, different cold Cuts and cheeses, eggs, bacon, cereals, yoghurt, juice, coffee, vegan spread, jam, croissants). Some fruit would have been good to have, though. The view on both sides (ocean and land) was nice. It's not too loud at night despite being close to the ferry. But the real hero of this hotel is the one guy who was manning the entire restaurant. I don't know what his name was, but he was the only server, trying his damned best to take care of the entire restaurant. Hats off to that lad.It felt like there were only 3 guys running the entire hotel.

Not much was good. The staff being the exception in terms of friendliness.Expensive and dated, the pillows had blood stains on them under the cover and when we asked for some help with handling the heat in the room for our 8 months old son, the only option would be to change rooms for an additional 20 Euro. The food was great if you enjoy mediocre. Absolutely no effort was made to make it look appetising. The location is top notch when you want to take the ferry, but I'll gladly find a less prime location when it means I can avoid this place.

We really enjoyed this place. It's clean and the staff are really friendly.Unfortunately I can only give it 4 stars as it says everywhere that it is next to the beach. This is not true. You can choose whether you want to walk 15 minutes to the beach along a massive main road without a pavement (really bad with children) or whether you want to walk along the main road for 5 minutes and then an extra 25 minutes through a small villiage. We had our 10 month old with us. We would love to come back but we find it too dangerous when he can walk. All in all it was a nice experience though.(You can see the distance on the photo, there is a big parking lot and a massive field between the sea and the hotel. Unfortunately you can't walk through the hotel though.)

From the outside, this hotel doesn't look like much. It looks worn out and like some strange pirate-themed leftover from the cold war. I say pirate themed because the outside of the hotel is lined with 9 foot tall pirate statues. On the inside however it is nice and clean and although the decor is dated it is clearly refurbished every few years. The staff is friendly and goes out of their way to make you feel welcome. Little bit of "The Shining" feeling with the wooden panels at time, but that was only charming.Arriving late at 23.30 they still opened up the kitchen and served up some really tender pepper-steaks for us, without complaining. It was a really well prepared meal and absolutely delicious. The breakfast buffet had everything you could want. The room was spacious, clean and had large windows. Bathroom was clearly of the simpler magnitude, but still clean and recently redecorated. All in all, highly recommend this hidden gem.

In the reception we had a great lady taking care of us, chatting and having fun. However, the restaurant service was disgraceful. We got seated, and was told told that we can push tables together. So we did. In about 40 minutes, another two was seated at our table, who we did not know. Luckily we got along and had a good time. Then they took our orders, where we got served random items. We not only could not order drinks, but the southern Asian looking waiter and waitress was intentionally avoiding us. Once we got through the meal, we were told to pay as a table. As we told that we do not pay for the two random people, we were met with attitude that is not acceptable in any service organization. As the hotel is shady enough on its own, the service in earlier this year saved it. This is not true at this point and the restaurant of this place should be avoided by all at all costs, unless there is a change in staff.
