Gutshaus Krimvitz

My partner had the idea to visit Rügen this summer as the perfect destination to relax from the stress of the last months. I let him be in charge of arranging the whole trip and  must admit he did a great job at it.He booked Gutshaus Krimvitz as our base, and it couldnt have been anymore idyllic. Surrounded by gorgeous rolling fields and the most fragrant rose bushes, you wake up to the sound of the birds chirping every morning, see the most impressive sunsets and hear the sound of, owls I think? during the evening. We even saw a couple of hares and a stork chilling around the gardens! The sense of privacy provided is unparalleled and the history behind the Gutshaus is the perfect cherry on the top.The owner is a lady from Hamburg and is the most gracious host you would ever find. Her in depth knowledge of the area is down to a T, she gave us amazing tips on where to find the most secluded pristine beaches, which made for utterly magical days. You can also easily spend hours listening to her stories of the Gutshaus or local anecdotes of the area, all this with a coffee in hand and a decadent slice of one of her home made cakes and you feel that the world has stand still.The attention to detail is quite impressive. The love and care the owner has poured on this place is palpable everywhere. Our room was beautifully appointed, decorated in a traditional northern German style and with an added welcome old-school candy setup next to the bed. Charmed me instantly and definitely not your cookie- cut hotel!The dinners here are delicious, and combining it with the tranquil scenery and peacefulness of the Gutshaus, we actually preferred it over the busier restaurants we tried around. Oh! Try their Rosé wine with the long name, you can easily drink a bottle by yourself!In summary, it is a place that will not leave you indifferently and definitely will stay in your memory for a long time. Those are the holidays that I personally cherish and for once, can't wait to be back.

At the beginning of October we celebrated our wedding with family and friends at the Krimvitz manor house on Rügen. From the first meeting to the farewell, Ms. Krüger impressed and captivated us with her open and warm manner. She answered all of our questions promptly and fulfilled all of our wishes. Thanks to their careful and courteous team, we were always looked after in a polite, attentive and pleasantly reserved manner. The house is lovingly furnished with many details. It is idyllically located in a park-like garden. All meals, cakes and breakfast were freshly prepared in-house and individually prepared. Everything was very tasty and excellent! Our party was made completely unique by the great people and the warm atmosphere in the manor house! The days there will remain unforgettable and the thoughts of them will always put a smile on our faces!

We were there for three nights. The estate is somewhat hidden behind a small forest, but this is clearly signposted from the main road. Putbus and all surrounding towns are easy and quick to reach. We were welcomed very nicely. The accommodation is lovingly furnished and cozy. The breakfast was very rich and good, and plant-based nutrition was also addressed immediately. The entire property appears to be well maintained. Price/performance ratio is very good. We would be happy to come back on another holiday on Rügen and would be happy to recommend the accommodation.
