Hotel Lauenburger Hof

The lemongrass curry soup was amazing. Super tasty. One star less because I got the announcement at 9:20 p.m. that it was over at 10 p.m. Just wanted something to drink. Everyone is treated to the end of the day, but when the beer counter is cleaned 40 minutes beforehand and the decorations or anything else is cleared from the tables, I no longer feel welcome as a guest. I then left too.

I was at the Hotel Lauenburger Hof at the end of June 2024 and was very satisfied. The rooms are newly renovated with new furniture, everything is very modern and chic. I was particularly impressed by the cleanliness of the rooms. The breakfast lady was very attentive and kind, and the breakfast was excellent with fresh rolls and delicious coffee, plus there was a good selection.I can only recommend this hotel!

We only stayed at the Hotel Lauenburger Hof for one night because we were invited to a wedding.The location is perfect! A gas station, Edeka, restaurants and also the nature reserve can be visited on foot. There is a steak house in the hotel itself. The parking lot is large and largely empty, even on weekends in summer. The rooms are all newly renovated and modernly furnished. The bed was comfortable, the bathroom was big enough and there was seating with two cocktail chairs.The service staff was extremely nice and accommodating. Our 2 double rooms were kept free so that we could check in on Saturday from 10:00 a.m., so we didn't have any stress and instead of checking out on Sunday at 10:00 a.m., the hotel lady was nice enough to let us sleep in, so that we had to check out very easily at 1:00 p.m. Of course that was great for getting fit! Of course this was only possible because the hotel wasn't fully booked at the time. But the lady still didn't have to offer. I can't say anything about breakfast because we booked without breakfast. It was also super nice that she billed us for the second double room as a single room in which our daughter slept. So nothing more is possible!! A clear recommendation from me if you just want to spend the night in Trittau adequately without wellness etc. Greetings to the nice lady at the hotel whose name I didn't write down. Sorry 😅

Very pleasant overnight stay - nice, clean rooms.Breakfast was delicious and provided directly at the table.The parking lot behind the hotel is very convenient.

Room price of 85 euros ok. The room we got has just been newly renovated. Cleanliness OK. Nice staff, the food in the restaurant was delicious! We were satisfied.

I booked a hotel room for my parents. The location in the middle of Trittau is good, so you could walk from us to the hotel. But that's it for the positive aspects.The rooms were not very pleasant, green limescale deposits in the toothbrush cups, a cockroach in the room, the bed linen didn't smell fresh but musty.On top of that, there was no hot water, so we took a cold shower and complained to the staff after the first of two nights. By the way, the heating didn't work either ;)Apparently the cold water tip wasn't passed on because the next morning the water was still cold.The service is therefore a disaster and the cleanliness is not good either. The room price then seems quite cheeky!I was a little hesitant about reserving the room there for my parents after reading the mediocre review of the hotel online. But now I know that was a big mistake. Next time we will forego walking distance and book a hotel with better reviews

The one star goes to the employees who at least showed that they were uncomfortable with what was happening. When we arrived we were welcomed briefly and succinctly, the restaurant wasn't full, on the contrary, but everyone can have a bad day, at least that's what it felt like. After a short briefing we go up to the room. When we entered the room there was a shock. It smelled so strongly of cigarette smoke that had been sitting there in the walls and curtains for at least several years. The windows were immediately opened and ventilated for 2 hours. We wanted to close the door in the sleeping area so that we wouldn't notice the noises from the hallway so much... Door won't close - frame is warped. That was enough for us, so we went down to the man who welcomed us and explained the problems. He said they were ALL non-smoking rooms and wanted to fob us off with that. Other rooms would not be available and would be completely booked. “Regular guests who have been coming here for 12 years and also smoke in the rooms” So no smoke-free rooms??!! We then went up with him, he looked at the door and said “Yes, the frame is warped. There’s nothing he can do now.” Incidentally, the condition of the rooms is advertised as “upscale furnishings”. There wasn't even real soap, just something that was diluted with water. The equipment would have been enough, but the only thing that is expensive here is the price. Well, about the smell of smoke in the room, he just said, as just described, that they were all non-smoking rooms. Then he asked about the price, he actually wanted the €75/night, even though there was a completely different, lower price on their website. When asked if he could do something about the price because of the obvious defects, he said “Nope! The prices go directly to the tax office, so there is NOTHING they can do." Apparently you set the prices here and get in trouble with the tax office if you adjust them? At this point we felt very fooled for the second time. Later he knocked and asked us the following: “We can live in the room next door for 2 nights, we would then completely air out our current room, then we could go back in there.” He also believes that a woman previously lived in the room with the smell of smoke used “too much perfume” so it would smell like -PERFUME?! - We looked at each other, packed our things and left. I will never set foot in here again. When we left, the guy was gone and had probably finished work. The other employees were noticeably uncomfortable with the situation and then leafed through the book again to see if something else was available. We said that we had packed our things and would just leave now. At least this was answered in the affirmative without hesitation. Shortcomings are one thing, but obvious excuses that make no sense and make you feel like a real fool... are another.

Food great! Service great! I like! Gladly again!

“Transposed” due to hotel overbookingDue to the sudden death of a parent, I had to travel to Trittau at short notice for the organization that had now become necessary. Twice within just under 30 minutes, different people confirmed to me by telephone that there were still enough rooms available in the required period (Sun - Wed) and on the second phone call my booking was accepted.When I arrived at midday on the day of arrival after a 400 km drive, the gentleman present told me that he only had a room for one night and that everything had been fully booked for weeks.The "new staff" present during the phone calls, who did not know how to use the booking system, would be to blame.In the "reservation book" he showed me that the desired period Sun. - Wed. was written after my name. But he would still only have a room for one night.I explained my situation and the lack of alternatives as to when and where to stay (appointments with the undertaker, etc.).There was just as little a viable excuse as there was at least a cool drink after hours of driving. At my insistence, help to solve the problem was only given very half-heartedly. I ultimately organized my replacement hotel myself and moved on straight away.By the way, the room window (of the unused room which I briefly entered) was directly on the hotel terrace or looked directly into the winter garden with seating. Restaurant guests are pre-programmed right in front of the window.
