Very nice campsite, along the river and with lots of trees to provide shading! There is a bar which has lots of alcohol free options and decent pricing. The sanitary building is a bit old but clean. I didn't like the fact that you need to pay by the minute for the showers, though.

Nice campsite along the river, reasonable priced food and drink which is okay not the best iv ever had but will do, shop 10 min walk away. You use a card for showers and electric €1 for 4 minutes I timed it haha I had 4 showers washed my hair twice and used about €5 by having quick showers and removing the card while shampooing ect overall would recommend

Great campsite, automated check in, managed it ok. Waited at a closed gate first, thinking reception was closed, eventually realised we were at the wrong entrance, sign needed on locked gate. Showers brilliant, only disappointment was we stayed 2 nights expected to be able to have a shower each per day. After 2 automated card told us to add more credit. Why? Had difficulty finding a shop, eventually found one about 2 miles away. We were cycling but took us ages to find it. Restaurant not open, no mention of that in ACSI book. Nothing much in the area to see or do.

Pros. Nicely situated by a river, peaceful and quiet. We found the mainly Dutch and German campers very helpful and friendly. Lovely. They use a self-service machine to register your stay (good system) and you receive a card. This card needs to be topped up at the machine with some Euros if you wish to use the showers or more electric. If using an ASCII card the €23 does not include the shower, (which is made clear on the Ascii site) the cost is €1 for around 4 minutes. You also need the card for electric, you get 4kw for each day booked. Once used the electric goes off. Topping up is 1kw per €1. If you load the card on registration you get one free use of a washing machine.Flat site with plenty of room, you pick your own spot, good size pitches Sanitary functional and clean.Overall a lovely tranquil site with potential.Restaurant was closed, it was 1st July.Cons. Don't be fooled by the warm words of welcome on the web site by the couple who run the place. We had trouble getting our washing out of the machine, the door remained locked. There was a button on the payment point which said Open Door which I pressed. It didn't work, I then thought perhaps I need to use the issued card to verify it was me and then press open door. This immediately deducted €4 from the €10 I had put on it.The female owner arrived as we and a Dutch guest tried to work out how to open machine. She pressed some buttons and curtly told us the programme had not finished as we had too many clothes in.I explained what we had done and asked if the €4 would be refunded to the card as we had clearly not done a second wash and the money on the card was for use on the dryer, her reply was "why did you use the card then" and walked off not wanting to hear the explanation I had already given. Some people run a business and genuinely care, but after a time become tired and lack motivation to keep up the good work, they end up being totally concerned about making money and doing as little as possible. At one level I felt for her as it can't be nice to be so miserable and who knows what has happened in her life. However perhaps the hospitality industry is something she is no longer suitable for.If you can't offer customer care and service in a professional way with the right attitude then perhaps it's time to stop, put up the prices and employ someone who can.We had travelled to Croatia, Slovenia, Italy, Austria, Switzerland, Luxembourg and now Germany. Everywhere was wonderful with great staff and good customer service, this place was a shock.Just like another reviewer who had used the site a few times and left feeling sour and disappointed so we left feeling that had we not had to interact with the owner it would have been a better experience. It's now understandable why they rely on everything being automated to avoid minimum contact with guests. For some reason they fly the Rainbow Gay Pride flag....at half mast!!I'm 77 years old, not great with technology and felt bullied and maligned by her attitude. She is welcome to the €4 it won't bring her any happiness, Karma always prevails!I would only recommend this site if you needed to stopover on your drive off the motorway. The website states 'there are always plenty of places available, no need to book, I'm not surprised.

We stayed here as our last 'jump point' before driving directly back to Calais. You can arrive at almost any time during the day as the site has an automated check-in system via a touch screen. …

Ok campsite but few things are very wrong, kids play ground is locked by gate. In public area is a public fridge, like on many campings right. i turn it on since it was off and most people where with caravans and campers so i asume nobody needed it, i on the otherhand with my tent was happy to find one, I buy food and put it in the fridge to find that evening they turn it off and throw out my food, i had to throw away my fresh stuff. There was no sign nothing to tell me not to use it and its quite common on campungs to have this! Another issue of the automate check in is if you came by motorbike like we did 3 months ago, we arive in evening. it doesnt give you a card so no shower possible, besides the negatives there are pisitives, its on a nice location next to the river. Nice check in by automate. Toilettes from 70s but ok and clean. In summer there is shade but all positives get over shadowed for me, its not a one time expierence to, ive been here now few times last months aswell with bike as with car, not sure or i will come back, bit of bad sour after throwing away my food tho :(

We stayed here for one night and had no trouble finding it using our satnav and ensuring it was set to accommodate Motorhomes so avoid approaching over tiny bridge I’d read about. ACSI site and great value for money. …

Stayed here as a stopover on the way to Switzerland. It was just off the toll free route so was perfectly situated. A lovely little campsite and accepted ACSI card. It was so peaceful and quiet and the facilities were great.

Used as a stopover site, nice setting, river running round the site. Decent sized flat pitches and close to a good supermarket to stock up on supplies. …
