Large, modern rooms with free WiFidirect LAN connection. However, cleaning is not taken very seriously. The towel dryer (radiator) hasn't been cleaned for weeks, so the towels left on it immediately get oneget a gray haze. The floor in the shower is also heavily calcified. It's better not to look under the bed. (heavy dust accumulation!)Daily room cleaning is non-existent.They probably only happen once a week. The whole guesthouse gives the impression of an outdated accommodation in which nothing has really been invested. The guesthouse is also difficult to reach by phone or email.Unfortunately, the wellness offers that are available online are not available either.Just like the breakfast, which was probably once served in the bakery opposite, but since the floods at the beginning of May, that is no longer available. All in all: It's fine for one night, but for longer, well if you don't mind the cleanliness problems, you should set up your accommodation here

Oh well. Plenty of room upstairs in several areas.Arrival: the sign at the entrance does not indicate the location of the reception on the first floor. The advice about booking online is not very helpful. When checking in there was no indication that this was the reception. Towels are piled up on the shelf in the background.Payment in advance. From this usual, but with the signs... Booked at HRS 62€. Card payment 72€. On request whether tourist tax or similar will be added. No breakfast. When asked whether this was mandatory, the employee was overwhelmed. Invoice does not indicate any printer defective. Okay it's Monday but, really? Okay then came to the room a short time later.Room:Access to the room with up to three six-digit number combinations written on a card.Good pictures when booking, otherwise I wouldn't have gone there.Roof windows clearly need cleaning, even for those who don't like cleaning! TV doesn't work. The antenna connection looks strange, it won't work. SSID of the WiFi that is supposed to exist cannot be found. When showering, water spray runs around in front of the cabin because water comes through between the door hinge and the wall. When removing the toilet brush, the chaos is complete because it gets stuck in the glass bowl.Breakfast which was obligatory for 10€I finally feel like I've been ripped off. If you look at the baker's offer, I don't see any advantage for me. After naming the number, I only have a choice of sausage, that's it. There is no price advantage for customers of the bakery. The environment is central but not inviting.

I travel a lot for work and pleasure and have never met a worse hotel than the Pension am Stummplatz. I was shown on HRS that the guesthouse has 4 stars and I have no idea where they come from. In the first room I was offered there was a box spring bed whose mattress was completely stained. Blood and presumably urine as well as sperm stains could be seen. The walls were also dirty and covered in lots of brown stains along with traces of suitcases. In the bathroom, the corners and sink drains were clearly and extensively covered with mold. After I was informed about the problems, I was immediately offered another room and the positive part of the report ends with this service. At first glance, the second room was in slightly better shape and that was primarily because the bed here was covered with imitation leather instead of fabric and the room was larger. Nevertheless, the ominous brown spots could also be found on a wall here. The mattress was also covered in stains. My suspicion that some of the stains were urine would be confirmed that night. Although I had generously covered the bed with towels and made it with fresh bed linen (all of which I had bought specifically in the neighboring shopping center so that I could survive at least one night in this establishment), there was still no denying the pungent smell of urine that emanated from the mattress due to body heat. In addition to the aforementioned, I had the foresight to purchase a large bottle of room perfume, the liberal use of which did not really improve the situation, but at least made it more bearable. The location is central, but at the same time it is also a meeting place for Neunkirchen's "Haute Volee", and the noise level doesn't make it any easier to fall asleep. Unfortunately, I was unable to cancel the room that I had just booked through HRS. The employee tried to provide support, but didn't seem the least bit surprised by my complaint. On the contrary, he confirmed that the condition of the first room offered to me was known but that they would offer it in the hope that the guests would not complain. The fact that the second room is in a similar condition (here too, the armchairs and chairs are completely stained) was new to him - after all, you wouldn't be able to see the stains straight away. I have now canceled my stay, unfortunately I had to pay my bill directly upon check-in, which is generally not unusual but should definitely be avoided here. I have now been told by colleagues from Neunkirchen that it is a well-known love hotel in the city. The fact that a couple was bashfully checking out around 6:30 p.m. during my second complaint doesn't confirm this impression, but in addition to the significant stains, it at least gives the impression that the assumption is not entirely wrong. Unfortunately I have to give this rating one star, which this guesthouse doesn't even begin to deserve. But I'm happy to give it to you to warn other potential guests before booking. Oh, I completely forgot, neither the WiFi nor the TV in my room worked.

Today we tried the breakfast buffet and yesterday dinner. There were good things and bad things. When it comes to salad and schnitzel, you use sauce very sparingly, but generously use breadcrumbs when it comes to schnitzel. The coffee at breakfast is great. Unfortunately, the rolls were so hard that my gums really hurt and when I mentioned this, the other (very few) guests agreed with me. It was nice, however, that at least grain rolls were freshly baked, but not light ones. The croissants were good, but if the rolls are so bad, then it ruins your breakfast and we probably won't come back, the same goes for dinner. Neither tastes great.

Room itself OK in size, functional. However, the beds and especially the mattresses are dirty. Topper full of urine and lots of long hair, disgusting!!!Service is zero. Just annoyed. We haven't seen anyone for days.Location is suitable for the guesthouse! You don't need the clientele. If my husband wasn't there for work, they would have left immediately!Just disgusting and dirty. The shower in the bathroom is completely broken. No review of a hotel/pension or anything else is ever written here. But this is anything but great. Every star is too many!

Good guesthouse with drawbacks. I had a parking problem. I was able to have breakfast at the neighboring bakery with a voucher. The rooms were chic and modernly furnished. I couldn't open the window, a skylight, because of the acrid smell of fries. The bed was large and comfortable.
