Great hotel. Good food. We used this as a base for going hiking. Great to be able to use the golf course basins for cleaning and drying our muddy shoes. Two tips for improving: do not switch of the electric sockets when turning of the lights. It keeps my devices from being charged the next morning: not a nice surprise. Also the room was way too hot to comfortably sleep. I turned the airco to its lowest but it had no effect. Opening the window resulted in a howling noise that kept me from sleeping. Other than that: great service, great bathroom. Nice sauna.

Arrived on 23 July and checked out on 2 August. The room was a bit small compared to most you would see in the States but it was modern, clean, and we had an amazing view of the golf course. The daily brunch buffet that came with the room had a wide selection of food and was great. Likewise with their a la carte dinner menu. Besides traditional German dishes they also had fresh made pasta dishes. We don't golf but we took a one hour lesson from the golf pro. Even with a limited German vocabulary I could understand him and he was a a good instructor. The entire staff was professional, friendly and accommodating. Almost forgot about the spa. We liked our first massages so much we booked another round. Would have done more if our schedule had allowed. This hotel will be our go to place when we return.

The sevice for the reception was very unpleasant. They charged mid stay without my approval.In my stay, someone else opened our door with another card. I told them the door was broken, moreover my card key wasn't opening, and they told me it was my fault.The staff in charge of breakfast is friendly.

The hotel has a very beautiful exterior but missing details. For example, no luggage stand in the room. No smiling, even no 'Guten Morgen' if you pass by the reception in the morning. I wish I could drink a glass of wine and watch the final PGA tour in front of that big TV but there is only one sofa group and the TV is playing a nature scenery ... Always need to look for the service staff because they like to stand behind the cashier... dinner take so long time no matter you arrive earlier or later. You can't have a fresh breeze in the balcony and driving range because the odor coming from the nearby factory. The menu is a bit over price from my point of view. 26€ for a schnitzel? I just want something to eat after the golf round, curry wurst and club sandwich everyday? perhaps, but still, not worth for it...

The ambience on site is of course unbeatable. However, the service was very unsatisfactory. After the menu was handed out, the employee stood at the table and listed all the dishes that were out. Which in this case was 4 pieces. Which was a shame because we also drove an extra 40 minutes to the location. I then ordered a cocktail, which I waited a while for. It later emerged that the employee had not passed the information on to the bar at all. The food was delicious and was beautifully presented. But I wouldn't go there anymore.

This time I was only there as a restaurant guest, but I also stayed overnight in the hotel. This time I was unfortunately disappointed, service except for the woman with the glasses, completely chaotic and often chatting inside.There was no bread, drinks that were taken didn't come. A lot of things were sold out, information about it was casual or whether it was there, not at all. Order directly with card in one. The table was wiped wet, but just wet and please said 3 times (actually part of it, of course thanks anyway, but not 3 times).Food was ok, but not much, potatoes (potato?) weren't cooked through, jus in which it was prepared was really tasty. Fish great and tender - but little for 24 €! . We left hungry with dessert (€10, 4 forkfuls). Ambiance is a dream, probably one of the most beautiful restaurant terraces in Saarland. It's a shame that the price-performance ratio isn't right at the moment. One or two waiters instead of four or five would be nicer. Likewise, a smile at the beginning, you would feel more welcome!
