Now an inhabited “lost place” and partly a construction site as it is being renovated. I hope that after the renovation the rooms will be better furnished and the bathrooms will be mold-free.

I was last a guest in this venerable hotel in October 2020. Before that, every year for a hiking holiday at least twice a year. …

We spent Easter and my birthday at the Weißer Hirsch and were thrilled! The location of the hotel is unique. We had a very nice room with a fantastic view of the castle and landscape. The staff was friendly at all times. A historic house with a special charm. We'll definitely be back soon!

Very nice hotel with average good prices. Unfortunately, the owner is not from the area and unfortunately lets this very rustic, beautiful hotel go under. Few employees and the resulting limited communication is a real shame. Nevertheless, even in the kitchen, if you give advance notice, special requests such as “vegetarian” will be taken into account. The view from the balcony is fabulous. The rooms appear simple but clean.

We had booked a short vacation with half board.Food was OK. The staff helpful and very friendly.Almost all wishes were fulfilled immediately. The hotel itself is pure history. The view from the panoramic balcony is gigantic.Price/performance ratio absolutely fine. There is a star deduction because of the lack of an elevator.

Every year we celebrate New Year's Eve somewhere else with a group (6 couples). This year we ended up in the Thuringian Forest in Schwarzburg at the Hotel Weisser Hirsch. …

Of course I think it's great as an old nostalgic hotel with a GDR look, there's a lot to discover here from a bygone era. There is a lack of gastronomic experience here and, above all, the attitude that the guest should feel comfortable. I wish the house a restaurateur who maintains the GDR charm and still brings love and respect for the guests. Definitely worth seeing.

The hotel has a great scenic location and is also conveniently located for transport. The hotel is located on a high plateau. It is a very beautiful building, apart from additions that were probably made at a later date. The ravages of time are taking their toll on the building structure. But you could do a lot with this building, of course as a hotel. Just the view when you sit in the restaurant for breakfast or dinner and look into the valley. The breakfast was very good, the staff tried hard. However, as a guest you should be able to distinguish between who is a guest and who is a staff member. That the staff inWalking around wearing personal clothing is not professional. The building and the rooms definitely need a freshening up.
