The warm welcome already promised good things. It turned out to be true. During the entire stay, Christel and Harm were approachable and helpful at all times. The accommodation itself left nothing to be desired. Clean, small rooms with a separate bathroom, TV etc., the breakfast was rich and tasty. Coffee as much as you wanted. We were there as bikers and can definitely recommend this hotel. But this hotel is certainly interesting for families too.

We, four motorcyclists of the same age, are gradually exploring the German low mountain ranges. This time we chose the Harz Mountains. Our choice of accommodation fell on "Gelpkes Mühle", a good, even a very good choice as it turned out later.We received a very warm welcome and the innkeepers always tried to make our stay as pleasant as possible throughout our stay.The rooms are functionally furnished and very clean.The breakfast is rich and leaves nothing missing.In the evening you can drink a delicious beer under the covered patio. If none of the innkeepers are there, just ring the bell briefly and supplies will be provided.Our motorcycles were safe and secure in the enclosed courtyard.Conclusion: what more could you want, everything was great.

We arrived with two motorcycles, which could be safely parked in the backyard.We were warmly welcomed in the courtyard by operator Harm and his wife. Here we also had something to drink 😁🍻Harm is a biker himself and gave us a few tips.We didn't miss anything during our stay.The two are good hosts.Breakfast - everything you need.Rooms - simple and everything clean. What more could you want?Restaurants - all within walking distance in a few minutes.We'll come back again.

.My room on the 1st floor (without elevator) was sufficient, but unfortunately without a carpet, it was cold to the feet and the heating was turned down. The bathroom didn't even have a radiator, which was... Showering was unpleasant. The room had a view of the greenery. Breakfast was completely okay. The accommodation location was central but still quiet. The guesthouse is sufficient for a short stay. The landlord was "normally" guest-friendly. The adjacent park is beautiful.

I was now able to be a guest at the Gelpkes Mühle twice. I'm totally thrilled. Clean rooms, delicious breakfast (rolls, sausage, cheese, jam, Nutella, boiled egg). Super friendly operators. Particularly recommended for motorcyclists. Once you've been there, you'll always go back!
