I can't explain how much I love this place. It's a family run business who make you feel welcomed even when they terrorise you with the accordion! 😂 The food is excellent and so is the hospitality. The rooms are simple, clean and stylish. Went here in Easter and dropped by now on our way from Croatia... Becouse we HAD to bring some of their homemade "Bratwurst" back home to Norway! That and drop-in, all-you can eat breakfast with coffee!Last but not least. Heyerode is a charming town. There is just not enough stars to give. We'll return next year.

The question is what is expected. We were there over the weekend with almost 25 people as part of a family celebration for our 70th birthday. The quality of the food was great, but I would still like some fruit/vegetables for breakfast to improve things. The rooms were completely sufficient for our needs, they are very simply furnished, but they were clean and everything worked. The rooms didn't smell of sausage, but that may also depend on the weather or the last slaughter. The service actually left something to be desired, the buffet was only refilled poorly, arrangements for cake unfortunately only worked out incorrectly, and we had to ask several times about the desired technology (extension cable). The table for the birthday was being set while we were sitting and we had to wait a long time for the coffee. In the evening we were able to use the bowling alley, here and on the other evenings the drinks service was great and quick.Overall, the main focus is probably on the slaughterhouse due to tradition, the adventure hotel is exactly that. Everything is a little adventurous and seemingly improvised, but the really delicious buffet opens with an accordion and singing!

Unfortunately, the stay was anything but pleasant. The toilet in the room sounded more like a fountain with dripping water which disturbed the whole night. The rooms are carelessly furnished. Positive: they were clean. When we arrived, the whole house smelled of sausage, which didn't really add to the feel-good atmosphere. In the evening and at breakfast there was smoking in the guest room, which was absolutely annoying as a non-smoker. Immediately afterwards you had to change your clothes because everything smelled. Breakfast was okay. There was no cutlery but there were no plates/salt and pepper either. However, the sausage tasted quite good. Unfortunately there was no coffee. Not worth 90.00 euros.

The hotel hardly deserves any stars! The room with cobwebs and an unclean shower! The breakfast only with Schlachtenwurst, offered carelessly without fruit or bread! That's not how we imagined it and without a proper bill! Until hardly another time 😉😁

Never again. People smoke in the guest room from breakfast until night and everything stinks of smoke. Changing clothes and showering afterwards are a must. Speaking of the shower: The shower gel dispenser in the room is completely moldy. Breakfast was served until 10:30 a.m. and there were no more rolls at 10:00 a.m. The only highlight: the sausage. Men and women can do butchering, but the hotel and restaurant business is underground. For this you pay almost 90 smurfs per night.

Tiny, simply furnished room under a poorly insulated roof. Reminds me of a cell. Unbearable for the price.

Nice, small country hotel on the outskirts of Heyerode. This time we stayed here when we visited our relatives in the region.Nicely furnished rooms, decent breakfast, friendly people, sufficient parking facilitiesA good overall concept with slight weaknesses. One of them is certainly that there is an event hall in the hotel, where family celebrations and the like take place regularly, at least on the weekends. What certainly sounds very practical in theory, namely combining the event location and corresponding overnight accommodation in one building, turns out to be unfavorable in practice if you are not part of the party community and just want to stay overnight here on the next day Ready to go home tomorrow or pursue other activities. So if you want to spend relaxing nights here, you should at least find out in advance whether there are any celebrations scheduled for the relevant period. That's how we'll handle it next time and, if necessary, use a different overnight location.

Simply furnished room which is ok but we shared our bathroom with others and we weren't even asked if we wanted to. And then we got probably the smallest room, there were three of us (child 14 months old). To make matters worse, this room was right next to a hall where there was also a celebration! So that our son could hardly fall asleep because it was very loud, and we couldn't fall asleep either. The celebration lasted until late into the night. So very poorly thought out with the room distribution! There was a smell of smoked sausage everywhere and you could smell it yourself. Breakfast is very simple, no fruit, just light rolls, our coffee was lukewarm. When we paid we found out that we had to pay €70 and that in cash because there is no card payment! When I asked why 70€, they said that the baby bed costs 10€ and 60€ for the room where you still have to share the bathroom. We said that there was no price for the baby bed on the website, so they said “yes, that’s not current but it’s out there”. Some of the staff were quite unfriendly! So I don't find it all family-friendly and I can't recommend it! We are definitely NOT coming back!

Absolutely not recommended. The party continued late into the night and there was no chance of rest. To top it off, we were allowed to share a bathroom with others. Card payment is also not possible!! And that in 2022. The calculation at the end was also interesting. Breakfast was included but not listed on the invoice (disguised as a receipt) and the separate taxation was therefore waived…Such a great area but unfortunately the hotel wanted it and couldn't.Very unfortunate

The Eichsfelder Fleischer is really good as a restaurant and for celebrations, but I absolutely cannot recommend it as a hotel. The rooms are simply furnished, which is absolutely fine (apart from the mold in the otherwise empty shower gel dispenser), but you won't get any sleep there. Friday and Saturday there is a lot of celebration activity every evening. We already had a room in the back corner, but if the party goes until 3 a.m., then you have 1:1 in the room. It's just not anywhere near the peace and quiet that you would expect in rural Thuringia. When we paid on Sunday, we were very surprised that we couldn't pay €150 for two nights by card and that skipping breakfast apparently wasn't offset. The unfriendly lady at Thesen then put the crown on it. So we scraped together the last of our cash and had to search for a long time until we found an ATM, since the Cash Group in the corner is de facto not represented. All in all, I wouldn't stay there again.
