A great getaway stay for some quiet in the mountain forest. It was full of snow and fog when we stayed there but even then, we could see that it would be beautiful in summer. It's romantic in its rustic way. Lobby decor is very welcoming and feels like home. Room was clean (we had 2 beds + 1) and came with toiletries (no toothbrush) and clean sheets and towels for 3. More than enough storage wardrobe space for belongings and shoes. The rooms also come with a long shared balcony, so I imagine spring and summer, it is really nice staying here.Fewer stars for location because it won't be very accessible to restaurants nearby for elderly/wheelchair-bound visitors. Need to walk out to the main street, along the small footpath and slightly uphill - for these groups, I recommend driving.The hotel restaurant was closed for dinner during our stay, so some planning for activities was needed. Not a big problem for us but if traveling with elderly or planning a day indoors, check with hotel for restaurant dinner availability before booking.All in all, a lovely stay and I would love to try it out in summer :)

Nobody at the check-in desk & no signs who to ring to get someone to come and check us in. Eventually we tracked down the owner at a house on the property. We booked a room with a bath but got a shower and infrared sauna instead. Different but nice.Very newly built place. Work still ongoing so a bit noisy but it is very nice. A few tweaks still need to be made, i.e. there were no hand towels, no emergency evacuation plan.Overall it has the making of a very nice hotel and we would not hesitate to go back when it's complete. It is very clean, spacious, modern and decor is tasteful.I would have rated it 5 if it had not been for the ongoing building works and nobody in reception again on check-out.

Traumblick means dreamview, maybe a bit much said. But the view is the only bad thing. The room is large and has a large bath room. The hotel is a bit outside of the city, so its nicely silent. …

There is no view and the place is badly indicated and hard to find. The owner was not present at arrival, and was in a very bad mood when called to open the place. Breakfast is very basic and limited.

We were there by motorbike for two nights. We received a friendly welcome and were able to park our motorcycles for free in front of the hotel room.The hotel is modernly furnished and comfortable in the hotel room area. I can't say anything about the guesthouse rooms.The breakfast was very good, the staff friendly and helpful.The dinner (we didn't book half board) was also really excellent.For motorcyclists, a great starting point for tours through the beautiful Thuringian Forest. We'll be back.
