A very historic accommodation that I fully recommend. Breakfast is taken in a vault that could have come straight out of the film 'The Name of the Rose'. The rooms and bathrooms are absolutely state-of-the-art. Even if the house makes it a point to not run a hotel in the true sense, you don't have to make any compromises. It's a three-minute walk to downtown Gotha and maybe five to Friedenstein Castle. I felt very comfortable in these old walls!

With simple, monastery-typically furnished rooms and a nice employee when we left. If you arrive after office hours, you will receive your room key from a code-protected box at the hotel entrance

A place of silence,... a sacred site with a high level of charisma. I was here for the school opening ceremony and was very impressed by the size of this building.

Older than the more famous daughter monastery in Erfurt, you can find peace and deceleration here: groups of tables in the cloister, silence in the church. You feel welcome here!

Great accommodation, rooms are clean and properly equipped with everything you need, WiFi is fine except for a few connection hacks (10 seconds to log in again). The staff is nice and helps a lot. Breakfast is not the gigantic buffet from the luxury hotel, but it has everything you need and is fresh and of good quality. You can't really go wrong with it.

Neat but simple. It was fine for us for an overnight stay. Everything is there except a TV, a monastery and no hotel... that also applies to breakfast (no criticism).Room with a view of the cloister/inner courtyard, very quiet. There is no official parking available.
