I went through an uncomfortable situation at the hotel I stayed in. I ordered food through Uber Eats, but there was no update on the delivery in the app, and it was late at night, past midnight. I checked Google Maps to see if the restaurant branches were open, and they were not. The delivery driver arrived almost at 1 AM and knocked on my hotel room door. I found it strange because, in Brazil, delivery drivers usually don’t deliver directly to the room door. I asked who it was, and he said he was the police. I got very scared because I wasn’t familiar with the country’s culture regarding delivery to hotel rooms or anything related to the police. When I said I didn’t understand, he started saying a lot of things angrily, and I was so scared that I didn’t understand anything he was saying, except something about 'bullshit.'I decided to open the door and then saw it was the delivery driver and not the police. He continued complaining, saying he was tired of these situations, that it was always the same thing, and that he was fed up with customers. Not understanding why he was arguing with me since I had only placed a food order, I apologized. The guy handed me the food and walked away laughing at the situation.I spoke to the front desk about what happened, and they didn’t even apologize for allowing the delivery driver to come up to my room. They said the most they could do was call the restaurant and file a complaint. After that, they started talking to my colleague about her room payment and didn’t mention my issue again. If allowing delivery drivers to come up is part of the hotel's policy or culture, they should have informed me. When I asked if it was normal for them to come up without permission, the front desk staff said no, that they don’t allow it, and they didn’t understand how the driver ended up at my door. After this incident, I noticed that the hotel access was always open, and sometimes there was no staff at the front desk. There was a large TV screen with cameras showing the hallways, but they didn’t bother checking the footage to understand what happened and take action.I wouldn’t stay at this hotel again. I felt very scared, emotionally shaken, and I felt that my safety was at risk

OK if you just need a bed and don't care so much about cleanliness. Feels more like 3 or 2 stars. If you got a room towards the backyard and like to sleep with open windows, be aware of constant noise of the main AC unit there.Dear hotel staff, please check the following in room 618:- funny angle of water thing at sink- AC needs maintenance, loud rattling noise- AC needs cleaning and filter replacement, see the ugly dirt coming out at the sides- floor didn't seem clean- tables had sticky stuff on them, so I had to clean them myself before usingBut otherwise thanks for the stay.Staff was nice.

I stayed at the Grand Hotel Empire in Frankfurt from June 21 to June 22, 2024, booked by Lufthansa due to a delayed flight. My late check-out at 2 PM on June 22 was a nightmare due to the unacceptable behavior of the receptionist. …

This is a clean hotel well located next to the main train station. Good in a pinch. The immediate area was not attractive but safe. We walked about 20 minutes to the Altstadt area. The negatives were a strange arrangement where the shower is in the bedroom. The AC didn’t work and they were not able to troubleshoot it. We slept with the windows open- as one does in Germany but there was a bit of street side noise. Oh well. We did easily catch an early morning train to the airport the next day. Saved a lot versus an airport hotel.

The rooms are quite reasonably sized and are not small at all. The staff is very cooperative and friendly. All amenities are available in the room including iron & board, tea & coffee arrangement in room, mini bar, rooms has great view, especially for the people who like lively places, very well centrally located and just within walking distance to Frankfurt Grand Station which is a blessing to commute especially if you are a foreign traveller, bed linen, mattresses & towels are hygiene and upto the mark. Have safe deposit or lockers facility available in rooms too.In my opinion, a great choice as it's a friendly budget too. Will love to stay back 😍

Staff are super nice and helpful - I would say that's the best thing about this hotel. Very helpful at all times. Also location is good if you need to be near the central station. The rest is like mmm....- The room is big but it was connected with the room next door and the door was OPEN. I had to call reception to come and lock it (there was another person in the other room!). This felt unsafe.- The lift has a card reader but it works even if you don't have a key.- The gym was the messiest I've ever seen. Most machines are either broken or disassembled, and everything was lying around in the place.- I had a lot of allergy whenever I was in the room. Honestly I don't know why this was: everything looked clean but there must have been something. Maybe dust mite but cannot say - the fact is that I was sneezing most of the time while in the room.Because of this I'd say not the best experience.

I’ve been sent here after my flight got cancelled. I won’t beat around the bush: reading recent reviews on my way to the property I got a bit nervous. In all honesty, however, it wasn’t as bad as I expected. Yes, it’s a bit old around the corners. But the staff was polite, the room was clean and it wasn’t too noisy either inside or outside (on a Friday evening). Yes, the shower is “in the middle of the room”, but that makes it a tad original. Not the Ritz, but not terrible either. The one really negative point was the dinner buffet. One re-heated dish, period. Not that it wasn’t good (chicken curry). Breakfast was decent however.
