Nice breakfast. Clean room and bathroom. Our room had a bed and sofa bed an we slept there as 4 adults. The sofa bed was not really suitable for adults. Drinks in the evening was nice and we could play board games inside. Staff could not speak English and came off a bit rude. But seeing them interact with other guests we concluded it must have been the language barrier. The location is 'in the middle of nowhere' but it was a lovely small village. Good for hikers, cyclists, and those who like fossils.

Did not stay in the hotel, but the restaurant was wonderful. The horseradish and mustard schnitzel was amazing. The homemade dessert Arne Ritter was delicious. The young man serving was spot on, quick, polite and patient. Vielen Dank!

We stayed in July 2007 and paid 25 euros per head bed and breakfast.||Moernsheim is a quiet sleepy place set within the Altmuehltal, Germanys largest nature reserve.  …

Nothing fancy but the place is clean, tidy and quiet. Much cheaper than other places in the same area and great if you are just looking for a quiet place to spend a good night's sleep.

We had dinner here on our canoe trip. I found it very cheeky, rude and inappropriate that the, unfortunately unfriendly, waitress apologized in the kitchen because we ordered the only vegetarian dish on the main menu (cheese spaetzle). As the operator of a restaurant (also in Bavaria), you cannot expect that all guests only eat meat. Otherwise it could have been a perfect evening. The dining room is very nicely decorated and the food was very good.
