Surprisingly nice! Easy access from the highway with convenient parking in front of the hotel. The staff were friendly and attentive. Absolutely exceeded our expectations especially taking into account our late arrival.Enjoyed a nice breakfast included with the stay. Overall, a very pleasant experience. Highly recommend it to people traveling.

This is a lovely modern boutique chic hotel in a fairly ordinary setting (small suburban town, no views). The rooms were beautifully appointed, comfortable, spacious and quiet. Breakfast was very good - lots of options - offered in a bright and large room. Free parking. The restaurant is excellent and the food is fresh, beautifully presented and very tasty. My tortellino was large, the pasta homemade and delicious. My lamb dish was perfectly cooked with a pesto. My wife had the tortellini with Parma ham and parmigiano. Very friendly and helpful staff. If you want a change from traditional Bavarian accommodation (which is also very good!) then Rossano is a good choice. Worth it for the restaurant alone!

I am infatuated with this place!! I knew the moment that I pulled into the parking lot that this was one of the best decisions I made to stay here. It’s located in a quiet, small town and a short drive away from the Ansbach city center. The staff is warm, friendly, and very accommodating. The hotel itself is very clean and decorated very tastefully. It has been renovated recently. The original building is historic but you wouldn’t know that if the pictures weren’t on the wall or if weren’t advertised. That’s how great of a job the renovation is. It has stairs although not that many and a lift which is great when you have luggage. I would actually rate it much higher than a 3 star for quality alone. For hard sleepers, you may want to bring a supportive pillow or two or if you ask, you may be able to request an additional one or two. The price point is also attractive and you get a lot of value for your money in regard to both the food and hotel stay. The breakfast is a standard German breakfast but they do prepare different type of little round omelette style eggs that are pre-made. The bread selection and coffee were very good as well. The parking situation is critical at dinner time at least over the weekend. However, there are additional parking spots within walking distance from the hotel and when you dine here, you’ll quickly come to understand why the parking lot is full. Dinner here is nothing short of fabulous from the presentation to the taste. I had the fish menu one night which consisted of the fish soup, sword filet, side dish of the day which were grilled vegetables, and a dessert. I couldn’t finish everything because they give you a lot of food. The fish soup alone is pretty filling and the sword fish is big. The dessert was pleasantly portioned although I had to pack some of it to take away. Each dish was a star in its own right, I was dancing in my seat after each bite and it didn’t hurt that they play lovely bossa nova jazz lol. I was so happy afterwards and slept like a baby later.Another evening, I had the goat cheese starter, the Mediterranean fish dish with a small salad. Finished with the biscuit with chocolate and pistachios. Again, I couldn’t finish it all but I was delighted to have tried these fabulous dishes. The owner convinced me to try the starter because it is one that is wildly popular with guests. I hesitated because I’m not a fan of goat cheese as I find the taste overbearing. However, I am so glad that I allowed her to do that because I have never experienced goat cheese like this! It had just a subtle punch to it but it was buttery and almost reminded me of ricotta cheese. In fact, after I had it, I asked the owner to adopt me which thankfully for me she happily obliged and announced that I was now her daughter to the other patrons in the room😁.I purchased their olive oil which is unique to the restaurant. It is divine on fresh bread and I already have ideas on how to use it in my salads. I also purchased their Moscato because it’s one of the best I’ve had. Be aware that they are open for a limited time on Sunday so you need to plan for dinner accordingly. It takes a few hours to drive to get here from where I live however, I have to admit that it’s certainly worth the trip just to stay at the hotel and dine at the restaurant. Especially, since I now have to see my adoptive parents regularly who cook with so much love! I can’t recommend this place enough❣️

What more can you ask for if you’re looking for a nice, modern and stylish, clean, welcoming and comfortable place for a stop over? |I was more than happy with my stay. The three star rating must be according to some strict German rules. …

I had never been to Germany before I stayed there in March for two weeks. I was nervous, but the owners and staff were lovely and ever so patient with me as I tried to navigate speaking almost no German. The hotel is attached to an ancient tavern but is beautifully done and very modern. The Italian restaurant in the hotel is EXQUISITE! I wish I could have been there longer to try everything on the menu. Breakfast is early and fresh, and they keep you with coffee. I sat outside and drew a picture of the hotel, and another from up on the hillside overlooking the valley. The village around it is lovely, easy access by train, and lovely castles and countryside around. You absolutely need to give this hotel a visit.
