Free entry to this great castle ruin. The ruin is small, so won't take much time to explore. The cafe has great food, but make sure and bring cash.

Very tasty food!We stayed here with three small children and felt welcome throughout.There is a small playground with a slide and swings in the yard.The cuisine is classically German, all the dishes were very good, special praise goes to the exquisite game burger

The restaurant did the catering for our wedding at the castle. Super delicious food, perfect arrangements, nice and friendly people.We also slept in clean and nice rooms in the restaurant and the next morning we had a rich and delicious breakfast buffet!This restaurant definitely has the potential to become a regular restaurant!! Thank you.

Friendly country inn with a great panoramic terrace below the Schwarzenfels castle ruins. Run as a family business for several generations. The food is delicious, the staff and the host family are very friendly, there are some well-kept guest rooms to stay overnight. I always enjoy being a guest here.

We were in the restaurant 1¾ years ago and ate there for our son's 18th birthday. We were already very satisfied and felt comfortable back then.This was my first time staying in the inn for 2 nights! And I have to say, I was completely thrilled. When I entered the room I immediately felt at home. The room was comfortably furnished and everything was clean! I thought the tea kitchen with fridge was great if you wanted to make yourself some coffee/tea or needed to keep something cold.The rest of the inn was also very clean. Since I was the only guest who had booked breakfast, Ms. Hölzer put together a really cute breakfast for me. Egg, rolls, fruit, juices, coffee, cheese/sausage platter, various jams, honey, cereals...Just for me!Mr. and Mrs. Hölzer also repeatedly asked if everything was OK. is!I also had a long, very warm conversation with Ms. Hölzer. THANK YOU...🍀You can tell that the Hölzer family runs this business with all their heart.The inn is a little above. And you have a very nice view.I'll definitely come/we'll come back.All the best to you in the future 🍀

We stayed at the Gasthaus zur Burg for two nights. We would receive an absolutely warm welcome. The rooms are not the most modern. Which in this case isn't a negative, because they are clean and big and have everything you need. And the view is simply gigantic!We also had breakfast there, a really great breakfast was prepared especially for us! Rolls, croissants, watermelon, scrambled eggs and bacon, cheese and sausage, the first morning there was tomato with mozzarella, the second morning natural yoghurt with strawberry sauce etc. So it's just awesome! The boss is super hospitable and you just feel comfortable. We'll definitely be back.
