This is a great hostel. We reserved this location in July of 2017 and were able to fit 125 young people in it. The service and kitchen staff were excellent.The location is almost in the center of town, but you wouldn't know it when your there.It's a great location with great showers, bathrooms and various size rooms being able to accommodate almost any size group. The patios around the building we so good for sitting outside in the early morning hours with a coffee and a good book.

It was all around a great experience, it's great place for kids and adults to stay. The staff is incredibly nice and offers a fair amount of activities for groups or couples to do.

I was accompanying a school trip. I can only report positive things! The house is very well preserved, beautifully located and has a great outdoor area.The rooms are functionally furnished with a sink.Showers and toilets for the accompanying persons were perfect!Unfortunately, the toilets for the students were often dirty, but unfortunately that is “normal” for children/young people. The operators can definitely NOT be blamed here, the children just don't have the ability to "leave it as you wish to find it".Food was always tasty and plentiful!The youth hostel is a good starting point, for example for a decent hike to the Wasserkuppe!All in all it was a nice stay!

At first I felt positively transported back to my youth.The rooms and the sanitary facilities were very clean, the local people were super hospitable and fulfilled our every wish.The breakfast left nothing to be desired for me.Great stay... Thanks to the team.Keep it up 😉

We were in the youth hostel with a group of 20 people. It was an extremely nice stay. The hosts were very friendly and the rooms and bathrooms were super clean. There was a very varied breakfast and group rooms where you could spend cozy hours in the evening.

We recently stayed in the youth hostel, it is quaint and cozy, you feel comfortable there. The rooms were tidy and clean, the mattresses very comfortable.The breakfast was also sufficient and good. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Thank you very much and we would be happy to come back.

I thought the rooms were terrible! A few of our beds were damp or wet and something was leaking from the top of a loft bed. The window was very small and there was dust everywhere (the night was very tiring for those with allergies) I wouldn't recommend it except from the outside there was a lot of activity for us. The toilets weren't very hygienic either, there was hair and dust everywhere which was very unpleasant

Great, rustic youth hostel within walking distance of the outdoor pool and zoo. Everything was very clean, delicious food, nice people. Also recommended for families.The bathrooms here are still in the hallway, but there are enough of them.
