We have been visiting the Gasthof "zum Schwarzen Roß" for several years and always feel very comfortable. The location is fantastic. The food is super tasty and freshly prepared. The staff is top notch. Friendly, courteous, attentive and always patient. Eating here is an absolute highlight, especially with children. In the outdoor area there is everything that makes children's hearts beat faster (vehicles, trampoline, sandpit, swing, water and animals in the pastures). It's relaxed and cozy. We ❤️ it!

We were the first on the Black Horse and certainly not the last time. The service, even though the young lady alone was great. The food was great and very tasteful, that's craftsmanship 😀. Everything was super clean and tidy. 5 stars are not enough in this case.

We recently stopped there on a Sunday lunchtime while on a short hike and had lunch. Everything was fine, despite the company...the food was very tasty and the service was on point. Because of this experience, I reserved a table for the following Saturday evening. And what can I say...the complete opposite of the Sunday before. About the facts: We ordered 3 burgers there, and since my son doesn't like sauces, we asked for them or ordered the burger without sauce. The burger was of course served with a burger sauce…my son had a long face. I then took it to the kitchen and politely complained about it. Here, however, I encountered a complete lack of understanding from the cook and the waitress; they had done everything the way we wanted with the sentence “and what should I do with it, should I throw it all away (or something like that!)”. It would be a burger and it's clear that there's sauce on it...huh?! I then kindly said that I would try to scrape off the sauce because I wasn't in the mood for something like that and I wasn't a supplicant, and then I heard a cook or kitchen assistant just say: "Yes, that's fine." It should only be mentioned in passing that the meat on my wife's burger was almost cold. The mood was gone and there was no apology, no demand or anything along those lines. I haven't experienced something like that for a long time...Customer service a straight six!!!I've eaten there twice now, but those were also the last two times!!!

We were only there for lunch. The food is highly recommended and the service was very nice and hopefully.Unfortunately we ran out of meat when we ordered, but even then the waitress offered us alternatives and we chose something else. The atmosphere and surroundings are beautiful and always invite you to take a walk.

Very nice inn, nice and accommodatingPersonnel. We were there in the afternoon and were able to enjoy good cake and coffee as well as delicious sandwiches. The menu makes a good impression and promises delicious food at reasonable prices. We'll definitely come back.

We stopped by the Black Horse on the way through, so to speak. The food was very tasty and plentiful, the price-performance ratio was great, the location was simply picturesque and idyllic. The service was very friendly and accommodating, but we had to wait quite a long time for the food even though there were few guests in the dining room, hence a small deduction from the stars. But I don't think this is a real deduction, the quality was great. If I drive through Zeitlofs hungry again, I will definitely eat here again.Since I didn't stay at the Schwarzen Ross, I won't give any rating for the hotel's operation.

Old inn with its own butchery and bread oven. We were there in October to eat goose, just a dream. I have never eaten such a crispy whole there. You have to make a reservation and register in advance if you want to eat goose. Otherwise very tasty menu. The hotel is getting old, but the rooms are still clean and attractive. Good enough for 1-2 nights. The staff was very nice, the restaurant was very rustic and cozy. Price performance is absolutely okay.Update, one year later. We were there again and had booked ourselves for a goose dinner. Unfortunately the geese weren't really great this time and would have needed an hour longer in the oven. There was nothing crispy about the goose and the meat was still tough. That's why this time one point is deducted, down to 3 stars.
