A wonderful stay!Everything was perfect during my stay at this hotel. The rooms were extremely clean and comfortable. The services provided were of high quality, and the staff was always friendly and helpful. The location was particularly great, with easy access to everywhere I needed to go. The breakfast selection and taste were excellent. If you’re looking for a peaceful and enjoyable stay, I highly recommend this hotel.

lovely hotel! we stayed for one night and were amazed by the comfortable beds in the three bed family room. we chose this hotel because it had three separate, real beds, and they didn’t disappoint! the breakfast was also incredibly nice - one of the nicest breakfast buffets I’ve ever had (multiple types of honey!) Alan helped us and was so welcoming and kind.

Stay at this hotel about 2-3 times a year for business. Clean and spacious rooms, love it, worth taking a few more minutes walk. Staff generally very friendly but there is one front desk gentleman always tells me my room is not available without even looking at his computer while the person in the next line is checking in. Tried avoiding him but seems my flight in matches his shift. After a 14 hours flight, 1 hour train ride, another 5 hours waiting at hotel lobby is not the most pleasant and welcoming feeling.

A tragedy of a hotel. They say they are a 4-star hotel but this is in fact far from the reality. My stay at NH started badly when they made me wait for half an hour after arrival and changed my room. The room in which they put me was too warm (AC did not work satisfactorily) and not cleaned properly. To cope with the heat, I requested a blanket because the bed (which was terrible and dirty) only had a duvet. The front desk said they did not have blankets - something unbelievable for a hotel. When trying to book breakfast, the evening front desk never picked up the phone and, when I went downstairs to do it in-person, the employee told me the system was “blocked” and I should book in the morning. While I was at the reception, I noticed the phone ringing a lot so I wonder if they did not pick the phone up on purpose. It should be noted that, if you do not book the breakfast in advance, they charge you more for doing it on the next day. Since many problems happened in many different parts of the hotel, this should be an issue with the chain itself and/or their management. Therefore, I’ll never return and don’t recommend it at all.

Great value for $, excellent location. Lots of perks that you get nickeled-and-dimed for at other hotels (i.e. free coffee, fruit, snacks in lobby). Underrated bar, public work space and outdoor patio. Would recommend to family and business contacts.

Most probably this hotel was the most below average (worst) NH Hotel that i have ever stayed. I love NH style and try to choose them if my destined city have one. But my last stay was quite disappointing. …

The hotel is conveniently located near Koln city center, not far from restaurant and some sightseeing. The room is quite large with comfortable bed. Amenities is standard. For breakfast, there is an a-la carte menu and buffet, which is OK. The staff is very minimal, but at least they are courteous and efficient.

I can'treally fault the hotel in anyway, the rooms were comfortable and clean and quiet. I had a room facing the interior courtyard. There were plenty of items to choose from at breakfast... even though you could order from a menu for cooked items I would have preferred if there were more cooked options, the scrambled egg was a bit dry and rubbery some mornings. I didn't use the bar or restaurant as on the very first night I entered and waited at the bar for about 3 minutes but nobody arrived, they were obviously busy just didn't really go back. The restaurant menu seemed a bit pricey and not much to choose from. The gym was very quiet but I used it every day. Would I return, yes I would.

28Sept2024We arrived at the NH Hotel and Resorts this evening. My friend and I were excited to be able to connect over the weekend here in Koln, you see I flew in from the US and she lives here in Germany. She was excited about connecting at this hotel because of the location and that it boasted having its on parking garage and a river view. Instead, we were greeted by an unprofessional front desk person who told us the garage maybe full and gave vague directions for how to get to it. In addition, he stated that if the garage was full we would need to park down the street under a bridge, he was not clear about where this was either. My friend and I spent the next hour and a half driving around looking for parking and feeling uneasy the further we got from the hotel. We had to park under the bridge overpass which felt extremely unsafe. When we arrived at the hotel the front desk person sarcastically asked if we had found parking, then he claimed not to be able to find our reservation and insisted on having our passport. We told him if he couldn’t find our name we were leaving. Somehow he located the reservation.Exhausted after our ordeal, we went to the bar to get a bite to eat. When we arrived the bar tender without missing a beat told us, “restaurant closed today, no food”. Could the night get any worse, Yes!. We went up stairs to do an Uber Eats order. When it arrived my instructions were that we would pick it up in the lobby. When the food arrived, the front desk called, I told him I was coming to get the food, when I got to the lobby he said he sent the person up with the food. There is a lack of customer centricity, courtesy, and respect. There is no awareness of the impact that bad behavior and lack of customer service has on your business. We will not recommend this hotel and will ensure our friends, family, and businesses we work for do not use your facilities. Stay tuned because we have not slept through the night yet. Also, where is the river view?
