We came across Cafe Alice whilst walking through Potsdam. The menu contained what we wanted and we were able to get a table so decided to give it a try. The food was good, and we had no complaints about the service. The atmosphere sitting outside was improved by the fact that they did not have a television showing the Euros 2024 matches and by the music playing from the drinks seller they had on the street.

DO NOT GO HERE.For 13.5 Euros, this was such a disappointment. Bland, tasteless, small portions, and overpriced. I had better food from a vending machine in Amsterdam. Then the man who was serving us had the audacity to enter a tip for himself on the machine, and then when we pushed back - because we were not tipping for bad service and incredibly overpriced food, and there were only three of us - he asked us if people didn't tip where we were from with a smirk.Avoid at all costs.

Great cafe at the moment. Probably one of the few that offers exactly the German taste of cuisine. I recommend it to everyone who wants to enjoy delicious dishes. The speed of service was surprising.

A Disappointing Experience at Café Alice.I recently visited the cafe with high hopes, drawn in by its charming exterior and chic ambiance. However, my experience quickly turned sour.1. Service Woes: The waiter, who seemed to float through the room with an air of superiority, left much to be desired. His exaggerated movements and nonchalant attitude were off-putting. When our salads arrived, he couldn’t even confirm whether they were meant for our table. It felt like he was doing us a favor by serving us.2. Schnitzel Mishap: The main course, schnitzel and fries, arrived with a clumsy flourish. The waiter lowered the plate, and half of my fries tumbled onto the table. Shockingly, he didn’t bother to replace them. I was left wondering if I was supposed to eat the scattered fries off the table.3. Uneasy Atmosphere: The constant presence of the owner/s added to the discomfort. They roamed around the cafe, eyes darting from table to table, as if monitoring their staff. It made me wonder if the employees were under surveillance. In summary, the chic facade belied a disappointing experience. I won’t be returning, and I recommend others think twice before stepping into this cafe. Perhaps the negative reviews weren’t so dramatic after all.

The old guy was soooooo unfriendly. He was just looking us like “just finish the cake and go back” even though we were there just for 10 minutes. Before we sit, we asked them that can we pay by card or something. they didn’t mention the minimum amount to pay (which is 10€)The old guy made a problem in the end and i wanted to buy “to go” ice cream to complete the minimum amount. However, he brought aggressively pos machine. we just paid and left. don’t be fooled by the café's location and chairs on a beautiful street. Not recommended to anyone.

Don't enter this place. They take advantage of tourists. The prices of drinks and food are expensive concerning their quality. Terrible service, rude waiters. When it came time to pay, he asked us all for the tip.

All this cafe has is audacity. The food was terrible and they tried to add a €5 tip to our bill without asking for permission. Do not recommend, avoid this spot.

Low quality overprized food. I hope I don’t get food poisoning after that small piece of meal I managed to eat… left the plate almost full though.

Avoid this cafe!Cakes are of low quality ingredients, dry and the portions are far from being generous. Service is neither too lovely.Prices are high, but what you get for that price doesn't worth it.Finally they added tip fee without asking if I want to leave any.
