Very nice custom salad system, large schnitzel for kids, tasty burgers, with interesting caramelized onions, better than others that I tasted.The onion strips were done in a way that they were crunchy, not oily not over burned, just very good.The cold drinks section is very nice also. Interesting juice options. My son got the Melon juice and it was very tasty.The service was fast and good, perhaps also because it was Sunday afternoon and the place was a bit empty.The restrooms are neat and large and spotless, and designed in a playful manner, with wood and stone and cool posters.The restaurant is in the very center of Waldkirchen, right by the typical ( for Bayern villages ) Maypole totem.

found this place by accident and glad we did. a bit more than we wanted to pay but definitely worth it. recently refurbished to a very high standard. breakfast buffet was delicious and the owner and his staff very friendly, helpful and professional. we are in the restaurant one night and food was very good. would definitely recommend :-)

The food at the Herzstück in Waldkirchen was excellent - we were particularly impressed with the saddle of venison with cauliflower and spaetzle (see picture) as well as the limoncello spritz. The cozy atmosphere and stylish furnishings invite you to linger and relax. The service was extremely courteous and attentive. We would definitely like to come back!

Every time we go shopping in Waldkirchen as a holidaymaker, we go for lunch in the Herzstück restaurant. Today we were again very satisfied with the delicious and plentiful lunch menu as well as the friendly and quick service. I always have to smile about the disrespectful to frightening men's toilet ;-)

A fantastic hotel! Everything fits. Tastefully, quality-consciously furnished rooms with many clever extras. An elevator is available. Very good breakfast with bread from the “real” baker. There is a parking garage with hotel parking spaces and an electric car charging station nearby. The boss is helpful and approachable, and the staff is just as friendly. The pretty place - the hotel is located directly on the market square - is an ideal location for excursions into the attractive surroundings.

Had dinner at Herzstück with my husband for our wedding anniversary. We've been there a few times, but unfortunately we were never completely satisfied. Nevertheless, we wanted to give the restaurant another chance. Unfortunately, we were more disappointed than ever. Unfortunately, it was not possible to eat outside, where as a non-smoker you would be full of smoke all the time. There wasn't anything going on inside, but we still had to sit by the window where the sun was beating down fiercely. It was almost unbearable. In addition, everything was full of stinging insects and the cigarette smoke from the terrace penetrated inside. So, unfortunately the ambience wasn't that great. We ordered a Hugo, which was served bright green. I didn't know it before and it tasted subterranean. We also had to wait forever for this drink because the waitress couldn't seem to open the bottle of champagne. There were no other guests. There was a young guy hanging around the bar who, as it turned out, was the chef. Of course, this went down very well with the guests, as did the conversations among the employees, which were all about cigarettes because they all seemed to be so bored that smoking was the only topic. When our food order was taken (there was once again a lot that wasn't on the menu), the young man in question quickly disappeared into the kitchen to prepare our food for us quickly and without any desire to cook. Unfortunately this was almost inedible. Fish was overcooked, risotto was almost raw, so it was more of a teeth-breaker, and the red peppercorns on both of our meals, which had apparently slipped out of the cook's hand, were ultimately the only thing that could be tasted. The price for this really horrible visit to a restaurant on our wedding anniversary was the highlight of it all. Completely overpriced for worlds more appearance than reality. Our conclusion: My husband said that any food I cook at home tastes and looks like star cuisine, and we will definitely no longer be throwing our money out the window. People just wanted to sit back and be pampered by a real chef once a year. Unfortunately we were taught otherwise.
