The perfect place for a school trip (age 8 | 25 learners) to a big city school. The youth hostel is run and modernized with a lot of passion. The rooms are clean and adequately equipped for a youth hostel. The area offers countless seating and activity options. The nearby "paddling area" (max. water depth approx. 150 m) offers children the security of being able to cool off safely. The program offered addresses the different learning groups and allows the learners to grow in different situations. The acceptance of insects (not unusual in nature) is also a good factor for the learners' learning process,Since the youth hostel is relatively remote in nature and the bus connections are rather irregular, day trips are rather difficult. But this can also be used positively to give learners a break from the city. The team around Cindy and Jan are available at any time and are very close to the group. Problems are dealt with constructively and in a solution-oriented manner. Thanks to everyone who made our school trip an unforgettable event.

So the location here is OK, there are a lot of mosquitoes and a lot of slugs on the paths. What I also think is a shame is that it can sometimes happen that ants just crawl around in the rooms. Breakfast was somewhat OK, but I don't even want to talk about dinner. Unfortunately, the activities were also very old. If you fall down while doing parkour, I hope you have fun bathing in the horse poop because it's all over the place and should make your fall gentle. Horse poop everywhere but a lot of the activities weren't bad either. You are also very close to the lake, which is very nice. So I don't want to badmouth the hostel, but there is still a lot of room for improvement.

It was very nice there, the location is very nice there, it was a lot of fun to be there, the food was also very good, except for the spinach, the only thing to complain about is the lack of WiFi and the thin walls, it It would also be great if there was a real table tennis table in the arcade. It was a very nice week there.

Been there in a tent over the weekend - not recommended. The operator cannot be held responsible for either the weather or the plague of countless bloodsuckers. For hosting a motorcycle club that repeatedly celebrates until 1 a.m. with extremely loud music and its loudly screeching members until 2 a.m. After all, the “welcome circle” at the beginning of the stay highlighted how closely this group was connected to the place. We are neither children and don't need a "It's nice that you're here, let's form a circle" nor a disco the next night organized by the organizer that once again surpassed the club in volume and penetration. If I want to party, I go to a festival, not this hostel. The location is nice, the water pressure in the pipes fluctuated depending on your mood between a few milliliters and a normal amount. Shower water temperatures did the same.

Good hostel, great care, more than suitable especially for school trips, unusually good food even though we cook for many people. You can tell that people with heart and dedication are at work here.

For anyone looking for adventure and relaxation with a school class, this is just the thing. All catering requests, whether gluten-free, vegetarian or vegan, will be fulfilled after consultation with a lot of expertise and love. Thank you for that!!!

We spent Pentecost here with around 50 people. The location is simply great. No matter whether you want to explore the beautiful area by motorbike, want to have fun on the grounds or on the lake or just want to enjoy the peace and quiet. We were accommodated in the clean group houses, which were said to date back to the 1970s. All rooms are equipped with bunk beds that are comfortable and not saggy. The showers and toilets were also very clean. The barbecue hut is also well equipped with dishes, a refrigerator, washing up, etc.Jan & Cindy, the very friendly owners of this complex, made a lot of effort beforehand and during our stay to offer us a great weekend. However, we will not be able to recommend the youth hostel over the Pentecost days (*wink*), as we would really like to spend the next Pentecost weekend here.Great facility, nice operators. Please keep it up.

Our 8th grade class really enjoyed their stay. The team activities (canoeing on the beautiful lake), archery and ropes course helped to strengthen the class community.A lot of effort was put into the food and there was a delicious warm meal every evening and always a salad bar plus dessert. We were also well looked after at lunchtime - in addition to the self-made bread roll, there was at least one, or rather two, cooler bags with fresh raw vegetables, eggs, muesli bars or biscuits. The barbecue was also great and a lot of emphasis was placed on ensuring that vegetarians/vegans also got their money's worth. Yes, it is spartan - but clean, well-kept and original and above all in the middle of nature. I can fully recommend it for middle school classes!

Great youth hostel with incredibly nice owners. The food is really tasty and made with home-grown ingredients. The surroundings are very quiet and idyllic. There are many activity and sports opportunities on site. The water at the lake is shallow, which is why swimming is hardly possible.

I was there with my class.Dinner wasn't very tasty, but breakfast was good. Almost everyone said that dinner wasn't very tasty. Noodles were disgustingly soft and the rice was very hard, almost undercooked. The accommodation didn't smell very good and the toilets weren't clean either. The paper for drying your hands stinks, so your hands didn't smell pleasant afterwards. But Andre was in a very good mood and it was fun to do the activities with him.The room where I was, the beds creaked very loudly and the mattress was extremely hard. The lake was very beautiful and not very far to walk. The facility there was actually quite ok.I thought it was stupid that you had to clean the common room yourself, as well as the room and the bathroom. A shower didn't work. It had no hot water and kept going out.The fly net on the windows didn't help much, so we were completely bitten by the mosquitoes.
